I winced a few times but it turns out that was a trapped nerve in my back...;)

I wasn't at the match, was this booing during play or at the end?

There was a guy sat a few rows in front of me who booed when Jenas came, a right dickhead who thought he was right to do that.

I was watching the game at home. This was my reaction to Jenas coming on:

On a more serious note though, booing one of our own players as he comes on is really low.

Both, At Jenas and at the end.

I can understand booing at the end of a game to a certain extent, although for me its ridiculous to do so two games into a new era. Booing during a game in order to target one of you're own team's player during the game, on the other hand, is just fucking idiotic. What is booing Jenas going to achieve? Obviously apart from ruining any confidence he might have had when making his 1st appearance in a Spurs shirt for nearly 2 years, it will probably do that.

So yes, I agree - a massively sarcastic "Well done!" to those absolute spanners...

Why would you boo your own team? I've never done it before since I actually... like the team. I want them to do well. I don't care if they bring on an amatuer player for a clutch moment, I'm not going to boo them!

There was booing when Jenas' name was read out before the match. Unbelievable. Then when he came on and at the final whistle. Unfortunately, we have our fair share of ****s as fans, and we haven't exactly been known to be patient in the past, especially since we've become good again. One guy who sits near me was booing at the end and he wanted Harry out last season, I guess he's just one of life's ****s.

I remember Robbo talking about his first game for us and there was booing then too (not directed at him). He said that he thought to himself 'blimey, what have I done' (with regards to signing for us) but then realised we were nice after all, a few games in. Let's hope the booing won't have affected Verts or Siggy in any way. Verts may have said the atmosphere was great, but he would've heard the discontent after just the 2nd game.

The booers will say they booed because we couldn't hold a lead or something about false dawns etc, but the fact is, anyone who boos their team after the 2nd game, which we didn't even lose, against a team who beat Liverpool 3-0 the week before, Is a sad **** who either doesn't really get football or leads a very sad life. Thankfully, it's not only Spurs fans, though we do have a fair fucking few spazmongers. Arsenal booed their team off after drawing their opening game. Even more ****y.

Judging by the comments about Jenas in the various threads after the match, I bet some of the boos came from contributors to this site. Come on, be brave and own up who booed him...

You disgust me
and I'd rather you did'nt support our club

Are we talking about booing at the end or when Jenas came on, If it was for Jenas I agree we should never boo one of our own even if he has been bad for 2 seasons especially since he has given us some great moments against le arse

If it was for the team at the end, all I can say is its nothing new as well as still being wrong and frankly we dont have the resources to compete yet, its like Levy forgets the password to the clubs account until the week before the window closes

It's assisting the media in their anti-AVB campaign, it was the no.1 Spurs topic on 606 that night.
We need to show a united front and back the manager, so it becomes a non-story and he can ignore 'Arry's mates, Spurs haters or both, and give the man the confidence to do his job without added pressure. That way he'll have a clear mind to make the best decisions and we'll all benefit.
It took balls to come back and prove himself here, there were other big jobs in Europe he could have taken but instead he came to Spurs. There's been a lot of positives in our tactics and style of play, his squad isn't even complete yet, booing after two games is simply ridiculous. Those who did it must either be pretty hateful people or simply ignorant regarding football. COYS!

Itself being caused by the media's crusade to get him out from the minute he came in.

I know this sounds like the sort of 'us against the world' bullshit that Liverpool fans spout that I've laughed at in the past, but there isn't a coincidence in how many articles I've seen over the summer which have either taken him out of context to show him in a negative light, made mountains out of molehills and downright lied.

Exactly. Which is why I like Duncan Castles. He doesn't toe the typical media line of being pro-Harry, Anti-AVB. His article on why Harry got sacked was spot on.

We need to get right behind AVB. Anyone who booed against West Brom are ****s. You are on Liam's **** list.

Booing at the team you support is a pure joke, the clue is in the name "SUPPORTer". It's the second game. Getting on the teams back isn't gonna help matters. We should all be getting behind the team and every player that puts a Spurs shirt on.

Just can't even get my head around what the booing was for? It wasn't a horrible performance, we didn't win, but we aren't entitled to win every game. It is just going to take us a while to settle in and get going but a lot of the signs are encouraging from the first two games (which can't be said for the lot down the road who have made all their signings and look completely toothless). United, City, Arsenal, Liverpool have all looked far from great so far. Even Madrid have started with a draw and a loss in Spain. These things happen but I'm sure we will turn it round. The boos definitely don't help at all.

Seriously the booing is out of line.

Though I don't think people were booing AVB, they were probably booing because we haven't taken the needed steps in the transfer market. I understand that but still completely wrong to give an unfriendly media ammunition to fire at us with.
