He's going to build something special here, always had that feeling provided he was given the time.

But yes, we've seen his style more since the turn of the year, he'll always turn to the youth and has already established a fantastic looking nucleus that will hopefully serve us for years to come.

That's what he meant about changing our psychology as a team - look at Kane's reaction after the NLD, and yesterday - Mason's heart and desire, and that edge he plays with which rubs off on the team. Bentelab is a real winner to, an ultimate competitor.

All the signs are there, the late goals, superior fitness and most importantly the change in attitude.

All this with the youngest average age in the Prem. You can't help feel excited by that, and we're already in touching distance of the top 4 and this current team didn't even start the season together. There was a weeding out process - Adebayor, Kaboul, Capoue, Paulinho etc.

He's definitely in the midst of making radical changes and we've already started to see results taking shape. How good is it going to look in another year if we can move on a few more, identify a few more and bring in more talented youngsters like Ali and bring back the likes of Pritchard.

Keep developing at the rate we are and its looking very good.

He's great, we're doing great stuff and we're going to go onto better stuff, but he doesn't make me feel sexy like AVB did, AVB made us feel sexy with his sexy... what I'm saying is Poch should grow a beard that's all.

Even my sons sing the Harry Kane song, admits Spurs boss Pochettino

The 2-1 win over QPR was a real family for the Tottenham manager as his brother Javier and sons Sebastiano and Maurizio joined fans in away end

Mauricio Pochettino will cherish Tottenham’s victory in his family photo album.

His brother Javier and sons Sebastiano and Maurizio joined in the Harry Kane songs as they made it a Pochettino family day out in the away end.

The Spurs boss went to the travelling fans at the final whistle and took a picture on his phone as a momento after another Kane-inspired victory.

But this one will live longer in Pochettino’s memory because his brother – who came over for the Capital One Cup final – and sons were there to see Spurs keep up their fight for a place in the top four.

And the best thing was there were no posh seats with the prawn sandwich brigade, the Pochettinos wanted to be in the away end which tells you everything you need to know about the relationship between manager and fans.

Pochettino grew up with Javier on the family farm back in Argentina which his elder brother still runs and they are still close, apart from when it comes to football.

Pochettino said: “My family was in the stands, my two sons and my brother.

“They were sitting just behind the goal in the top tier. Yes, they know the Harry Kane song! They had the chance to go to the executive box or be in a better area, but they prefer to sing the songs with the fans.

“I took the picture as a souvenir. It was a fantastic moment for me and them. It was the first time I’ve been able to do it in my career.

“My brother works on a farm. He enjoyed the cup final, but I don’t give him the chance to give me his opinion!

“He watches every game live, all the games are on in Argentina.

“The connection is special now. At the beginning it was different, now it’s a reality and the connection between the team and supporters is fantastic.”

Pochettino laughed – “maybe it’s difficult for you to guess” – when asked who his brother’s favourite player was. He laughed even more when another joker suggested it was Emmanuel Adebayor.

But anyone watching Tottenham cannot help but fall in love with Kane. Even Arsenal fans like him because of those pictures of him in a Gunners’ shirt.

Last Thursday night, Kane attended the London Football Awards to pick up an award as Young Player of the Year.

There are not many Premier League stars who would make the effort less than 48 hours before a game. But it was for the Willow Foundation charity and he made a speech, donated a shirt and mixed with the punters.

That is the sort of bloke he is and why Spurs fans sing the song about him being “one of our own”.

Earlier in the season, the comparisons were being made between Kane and QPR top scorer Charlie Austin but the Spurs striker has shown over the course of this season he is the better England prospect.

Austin has the harder shot but has less guile and class than Kane.

While Austin crashed a great chance against the crossbar when the game was still goalless, Kane scored with clinical precision and bravery as he put his head where it hurt to beat QPR keeper Rob Green to the punch. Tottenham thoroughly deserved their win and Kane’s brilliant finish after springing the offside trap – not very difficult against QPR’s shambolic defence – and then rounding Green to score.

QPR staged a late fightback as Sandro scored a consolation and they will look back on Austin near-misses, a shout for a
handball against Nabil Bentaleb and Junior Hoilett blazing over.

But they are going down because they lack quality, defensive organisation and Austin’s goals have dried up.

Pochettino believes Spurs can push on and finish in the top-four as they responded to losing the Capital One Cup final and going out of Europe with back-to-back wins-

He also believes Kane’s team-mate Ryan Mason is worth an England call-up from the onlooking boss Roy Hodgson.

Pochettino added: “Ryan has potential to improve more and, like Harry, he is progressing in a very good way.

“He has character, big character and personality. It’s good because the team shows great character. The results make the supporters feel very proud of the team.

“The most important thing I get from the team is they believe in our way of doing things.”

It's interesting that poch identifies that the team and fans are now closer. If you remember back to before Christmas there was a period where after games the players were constantly praising fans for their support in tweets and interviews.

It seemed a bit forced at the time but we were grateful for it. I definitely think that was a planned charm offensive from the club and it has been on the back of not necessarily amazing performances every week but there's ben wins.

It's definitely helped with the positivity and I think the manager must have been behind it a little.

In less than a season I have gone from feeling never more disconnected from the team/club to feeling the most positive and excited as I have in years. This is down to Pochettino who has stamped a new identity on the club.

I always had this feeling in my gut that he was the right man to take this club forward and I'm delighted at the way it's panning out. I feel like we could be on the verge of something really special.

The picture was of his family who sat with the away supporters. Made for an awesome feel good story though for a bit

Really hope Poch sticks around for a long time, would hate it if Real or a similar team came sniffing in a season or two.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Take away some of our frankly ridiculous home results early this season and we would be doing pretty well - though we have benefitted from Liverpool's disastrous start, United's slow season in general, and Southampton and West Ham's disruption of the top end.

We are still some way behind the team we were a few years ago in the CL period. I'm also not convinced that our current lot has the talent to reach that level (though overall I think it's possibly a little higher in quality as a squad).

I like Poch and hope he gets the time needed to implement his methods. I look forward to him bringing through more of the youngsters (especially Pritchard) and further defining his style.

Next season I'm hoping for a decent summer window clearout and hopefully a couple of very select signings in important positions.

As I say, I am cautiously optimistic. I'm going to remain cautious because one way or another we'll probably encounter at least one of the following in the next year:

- Our best player/s will be poached by a money club
- Our ideal transfer targets will be bought by Chelsea purely to prevent us getting them
- Our team will suffer a handful of defeats in a row and Levy's trigger finger will get itchy
- The media will turn on us/Poch
- Another club will poach Poch
- The Europa League will screw over our league games and cost us the one point we needed to finish above Arsenal in 4th
- Liverpool will keep getting better, Everton can't get any worse, Southampton might not be a one-off season

Seen us get screwed over too many times to be anything but grudging with a massive chip on my shoulder. I'll hold out hope,, but not conviction.

We took him off Soton. He was only there a year or more. Was he disloyal ?

I'm glad we have him but he's done it once etc etc.

I hope the reason he left there was not due to disloyalty but more to do with their board deciding to sell the core of the team against his wishes.

We have given him a great platform for him to work....the new training ground, excellent youth facilities and soon a new stadium...hopefully he decides to stay for many years!!

That's my fear, he was only there for a year and a half, so we could do the same to us, just hope he doesn't.
