Negotiations between the interested teams and Standard Liege are at an advanced stage, with the future of the one - cap Nigeria international expected to be decided as early as this coming Friday.

SL10.ng can exclusively report that Tottenham Hotspur, FC Porto, Fiorentina, Werder Bremen and CSKA Moscow have made contact with both Standard Liege and Imoh Ezekiel's camp regarding a contract.

But the stumbling block is that the financial terms being offered by these European clubs did not meet the club's valuation of the player.

Therefore, if it comes to a bidding war, a move to the Middle East cannot be ruled out due to the fact that the Gulf clubs have more money in their transfer kitty to activate the 20 - year - olds release clause as well as meet his wage demands.

It is understood that Tottenham Hotspur are mulling over signing him from Standard Liege, and loaning him back immediately to the Belgium champions as a result of the strict work permit requirements in the United Kingdom.

Imoh Ezekiel still has contractual obligations with Standard Liege until the summer of 2017.

Like the look of him far more than Batshuayi his team mate we were linked with recently, although haven't seen much of either

Makes me laugh how this is the first I've heard about this transfer and I imagine most others, we've had no ITK about him (and I'm embarrassed to say I only no him bc of FIFA and FM) however it is at an "advanced stage"

Nice vid, looks similar to Defoe in terms of style, although clearly better in the air than JD.

I mentioned him last summer, thought we should have a look at Ezekiel to play more out wide on the left and also bring on Batshuayi to mold to play up top. I think Ezekiel will stick out wide more than anything. As others have mentioned, he's fast, but he knows how to finish. He's quite an explosive athlete.

I thought he would be a bigger upside signing than a guy like Remy/Jay Rodriguez if we are indeed looking for a pacy option out wide that can get in behind defenses.

Whenever I saw Standard I always liked Batshuayi more.

Kid has a lot of pace and if the rumours of us looking for a LWF are true Imoh could definitely fit the bill.

Well I'm sold. Sign up both of the lads and bring them in the first team next year to replace Chadli/Adebayor (don't think either will be staying, though I'd love to see Chadli succeed here).
