But we're not short in midfield, its son, kane and moura the problem, our front players

Not short in midfield? We have no central midfield. We can’t drop Alli or Eriksen deeper as they’re needed in more advanced areas. Do that and who plays up top? GKN and Janssen? We can’t afford to shift our best players from their natural positions... most certainly not if we’re serious about our silverwear aspirations this season.

Dier is back to play alongside winks and Sissoko is a minor injury, plus skipp, hardly a crisis.... Upfront is our problem

Dier isn't back.

I was at the game...Sissoko looked like he pulled a muscle.
Ok lets all start slagging off levy.
You might as well join the sky lot.
Poch has said a million times he didn't want any players... Or you calling him a lier too...
If Harry never got injured this conversation wouldn't be happening if your really honest.

Poch lied - because he is a professional and toes the company line.

I'm not sure anyone was happy with us being so light in CM or up front.

The conversation was happening from the moment Sissoko pulled up during the first half. In fact, I was arguing about it before the match even kicked off. It's something that we've been discussing since summer 2017 when it was clear Dembele had begun to decline and needed to be replaced, not something that came out of nowhere today.

So levy should have known that we would lose kane, son, moura, dier, sissoko, wanyama, aurier, all at the same time... Get a grip ffs

Kane’s injury is unlucky and couldn’t be forseen, fair enough.

We did however know from the start that we would be losing Son twice this season and Wanyama has barely played for the last two seasons. Sissoko’s injury is clearly a direct result of playing too many games in a short space of time due to our lack of midfield.

Thing is, Poch will prefer someone who knows the system. If we bought a young prospect I don't see him getting thrust in the deep end. I agree we need a young striker, but I just don't see Levy and Poch commit to another striker in January. I also don't know if we could buy anyone worthwhile in Jan.

Agreed - wishful thinking on my part.

Ideal scenario is that S Korea lose in round of 16 which is 20-22 Jan then Sonny comes back . Sure Poch & Co will come up with a formation that will be good enough in the PL games we have coming up but Chelsea will be difficult without Harry and Sonny.

I think Dier and Moura would be available this weekend or at worst, for the game after that.

According to Poch, Sissoko’s injury isn’t that serious so he might be back sooner than initially expected. Anyway the rest will do him good after his exertions during the holiday period.

I will take my share of the blame for all this, about a month ago in response to some nonsense about another club having one or two injuries that the only players we haven't lost to an injury this season other than Toby and Davies were Kane, Moura and Sissoko, hey fucking presto all three have caught the curse. Just the other two now and we'll have had a full house this season.

It kinda could be foreseen because he gets an ankle injury every season

Not short in midfield? The only central midfielder we have is Winks, who is still relatively inexperienced at this level.

We've got a choice of either playing Skipp, a kid from the academy who is not really ready and hoping he steps up, or playing someone like Eriksen or Alli there out of position.

Calm done dear
Read all my posts before you answer, don't just pick out what you want ,
I said in relation to our forward problems midfield is not a crisis... And with Dier back and Sissoko not serious its not.
We all want new signings all over the pitch, but lets remember this squad has got as top 4 consistently over the last few seasons..
So calm the fuck down will you.
