No, if it should have been 7-4 then it would have been. Fact is, it wasn't and we didn't deserve to go through.

At least Inter showed fight and wanted to come back from 0-3 down.

We just facked about and let them come at us until 3-3.

Obviously this game is still fresh in your mind so you've forgotten how poor they were at the lane, no way we were as bad as they were last week. Both teams had bad away performances but by your own logic, we did go through so we deserved it.

We are through - why are so many complaining?

We defended poorly tonight but to be honest we should of won by a lot more at WHL - the best side still went through overall, I thought so anyway.

They were always going to be better than they were last week, always. Anybody who thought we were going to stroll through this tonight were well wide of the mark - and going by some of the team selections some seemed to think it was going to be a walk in the park.

Inter aren't the same force, but they were always going to give it a go tonight at home.

Over the years ive seen Spurs play brilliant and loose.

This season i couldn't care less how bad we play - we are in the next round, that's all that matters.

On a more positive note out highest paid striker scored his 4th goal of the season. Goes level in the scoring charts with centre half Vertonghen...

Really?

He was on par with Parker. I love they guy but all Parker's running about distracts the eye. When the ball was at his feet he slowed the game down and made the wrong choices. Livermore did just the same, simple passing game job without the hyperactivity.

And no way was he worse than Walker, Naughton and our undisputed winner of the contest, Mr Defoe.

Livermore did nothing except move the ball. He sat the whole game in Parkers defensive midfield spot. Parker threw himself in to the game, tackled, harassed, tried to get the ball going about, was always available for the ball, ran with the ball when he had space and supported the attacks. He's not good at forward play so struggled but he never hid, the opposite in fact. That's the difference

Galas, Ade, Defoe, Livermore are not the players who will take the club forward. At season's end, we will do well to sell the above and get a couple of decent strikers, and recall Townsend.

That's probably the first time I've been as frustrated with Adebayor as some of his stronger critics on here.

He was slow to react to the ball on so many occasions, but then will run full pelt for half the pitch and beat a defender.

Then reverts to looking disinterested and wasting opportunities for the remainder of the match.

I don't know if it's confidence, or more worryingly, motivation. Either way, in any other season neither Ade nor Defoe are playing remotely well enough to start games.

We should have kept it tight playing 4-5-1, particularly knowing that our strikers are such that it wouldn't even have mattered if we were playing 5-5-0.

So many bad things about tonight. Going out after that performance would have had a huge impact on morale. As result stands, still a lot of questions need answering and some players need to question their performance. This is the business end of the season and can't put in performances like that!
