To be fair it actually means more coming from him than anyone from our club. We've heard it all before about players not going and then said player leaving anyway but if the Inter president is saying it then it carries some weight cause he's obviously done everything he can to get Lamela and been met with firm resistance :)

or is this because they wanted to loan as opposed to sell him. I'm sure if the offer was anywhere near the price we paid, we would have sold him. Personally i'd love to see him thrive alongside some of the other newer additions now they have another years experience.

Good. Would be stupid to sell him not even seeing what he can do. A full pre-season, knowing the surroundings and the language better and a good coach could make all the difference.

I think Levy might have sold if they had offered a fee that let would give him a 20% profit.:)
