Thought it would be good to have a thread dedicated to this stupid international break in order to keep track of all our players.

I'm sure I'll miss some so please add to it!

France: Lloris
25th March v Netherlands
29th March v Russia

England: Kane, Walker, Rose, Alli, Dier
26th March v Germany
29th March v Netherlands

Belgium: Chadli, Dembele, Alderweireld
29th March v Portugal

Austria: Wimmer
25th March v Albania
29th March v Turkey

Denmark: Eriksen
24th March v Iceland
29th March v Scotland

Argentina (World Cup Qual): Lamela
24th March v Chile
29th March v Bolivia

Vertonghen, N'jie, Davies (injured), Son (rested), Mason, Carroll, Trippier all have the week off

Lamela travelling back from South America is obviously the most difficult one, that and Woy hammering our players again in both games. Would be fine to see the lads play one of the games, but certainly not both. Hopefully he wants to assess vardy and drinkwater for the whole 180 minutes though!

Hopefully the friendly fixtures will be played at half pace and serve as a bit of a warm down and training matches for our crop

Expect Roy to use our players sparingly during the two games with no more than half a game per match (especially for kane)

Lamela is the one that it will be most difficult for - 2 competitive matches and a long haul flight back before Liverpool away (although I'm not sure to what extent he will feature in the games )

I'm sure that Poch has asked for our players to have no more than 45 mins in each game.

Let's hope most of our players get rested.

I think Walker is 'accidentally' going to 'slip' and go over the ball taking Drinkwater and Vardy out with one challenge, resulting in minor (we're not monsters...) surgery for both.

The only way that this break will be worthwhile...

From what I can tell, Lamela's only made four appearances for Argentina in the last two seasons, each one from the bench. Twice being subbed on after the 80th minute. So I wouldn't expect him to be exerting himself too much in those games.

My biggest worry is the English players, particularly Alli and Kane. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see both of them start both games.

Glad that Belgium only have 1 fixture, hoping Dembele isn't given too many minutes, pretty much a given that Alderweirald will play the full 90 given Kompany and Vertonghens injuries.
Think Roy will be wanting to try out the Leicester players to see if they should go to the Euro's, which could save Kane and Alli some minutes.

it's probably easier to say who's not away on international duty.
What a squad we have

The travel Lamela has to do is the big issue, 15 + hours each way to get to Sth America?

Most of the Liverpool players will be off on International duty as well, so this evens it up in terms of travelling
  • Sturridge, Henderson, Lallana, Clyne and Milner just for England. Benetake, Courtinho, Firmino, Skrtel, Lovern, Origi, Minoglet, and Sissoko will also be away with respective countries.

The second match is on tuesday evening, so very likely he'll only have 2 days of training. Similar issue with Son, as South Korea is an 11 hour flight.

Is Sturridge in the England squad?

Firmino injured and confirmed he won't be travelling to Brazil.

really hate international break.

Its like giving your drunk feckless and irresponsible neighbour the keys to your Ferrari.
