He was outstanding in that match. Just gone through it, skipping out parts when he didn't have the ball.

His movement was very good, he caused chaos in attack, using both feet (mainly his right) and making good decisions on when to cross, when to dribble, when to come inside etc.

Very impressive.

Boy like him needs to be thrown into to the deep end at the top level.
Hmmm not so sure about that - there was pretty much zero defending going on in that clip so not sure it's right to say he's OK to be playing at the highest level.

Real shame he isn't getting game time - think a new loan where he will would be best for all.

I’m not saying he’s ready for the highest level, I’m saying that that’s what he needs, precisely for the reason you mention, that he isn’t getting much challenge where he’s currently at. For a kid with his talent to develop he needs to be trying to dribble past top class defenders, only way he’ll learn.

I think he'd be alright given the chance to just run at defenders in a PL game. Would have to be one that we are expecting to have a lot of the ball in/score goals.

Whatever we do with him next (bring him back to Spurs or send him on loan somewhere else), we just absolutely need him to be playing a decent amount first team football during these formative years for him. You can't pay £10m for a player and have him in a situation where the only games he's getting are in youth football rather than against the full-grown men that we will want him to compete with if he's ever to play for the first team. These last 6 months have been a fucking disaster of a loan, and we need to make smart decisions in the immediate future if we're not to harm the development of an asset that we paid a decent wedge for.

Condenced version of the vid linked by Windy on twitter

I said it when I first saw him and after watching that I'll say it again, it's so much like watching Chris Waddle it's uncanny.
I'd like to see him here come January and still don't know why we had to loan him back if the silly sods didn't want to play him.

I have not seen Clarke play Live before and I do not know a lot about him but what I do like is that he is a player that will use both feet and that is something you will not see often with a player.

Have a look at this clip but look out for him moving the ball with both feet.

We’ve recalled him apparently, will train with us for a few weeks before trying to secure a loan later in the window

At best, he impresses Jose and gets to stay with us for the 2nd half of the season. At worst, he gets a loan to QPR (or another club who will play him) and impresses there.
Would like to see him get a chance in the FA Cup before deciding whether to loan him back out or not. Hopefully he’s already back training with the first team and working with Jose. Think he could be a good player but he needs games.

I really like the potential of this kid. He's so smooth on the ball and clearly has ability. I'm excited to see how he progresses with us, could be a great weapon to add to our AMs. Really hope he gets some involvement in the FA Cup.
