Seems like it. Leeds will certainly refuse to sell, asking for a huge sum to scare suitors off, not only that but I imagine the lad would love to play for Leeds in the Prem so it would be hard to unsettle him.

These transfers aren't as simple as they used to be. Young British players seem less reluctant to force through big money moves now, only doing so if they can't get game time (Sancho, Odoi-Hudson), if their club is struggling or if they feel like they've done everything they can at their club and it's the right time to move (Grealish).

The likes of Sessegnon/Clarke wouldn't/won't force it as their club was/is on the verge of promotion and they at least want to experience the Prem with them first.

For a player, 18-21 years old, playing for the club they grew up in there surely is no point leaving in the middle of the season. In this case he is involved in promotion and getting to the prem anyway. Unless he is a proper money grabber there is no incentive to leave atm.

Leeds could also be looking at Aston Villa/Grealish. The club failed to get promoted and still got to keep their player even though he seemed fairly keen on moving.

The whole "just buy him and send him back on loan" won't work on championship level, possibly league one.
