Their players outright refused to pass to him at times. Bitter little fuckers jealous he’s going on to bigger things while they live in Leeds.

No long term judgements at all because this is the first time I've seen him play, but based purely on the 70 mins I've seen tonight I wouldn't have been able to pick him out on the pitch as the player signed by a Premier League team. Hopefully just a quiet evening for him and he'll show us the qualities our scouts will have seen in him as the season progresses.

Was a quiet game from him for sure. However it did often feel that when he played on the Right the play all went through the Left side and visa Versa when he switched to play on the Left.

Couple of good runs and one good shot from outside the box but overall nothing spectacular.

I imagine Pochettino was very much aware this would be the case and is hoping to see Clarke make himself first choice by earning it in training.

It's a long slog of a season. Especially in the Championship.

Clarke will get his chances. He just has to take them.

If he's not playing well and gets taken off, then that's down to him.
If he can't learn to fight for, and earn, a place on the pitch at Leeds, then he's never going to do it with us.
He's still very young and only just broke into their team late last season.
Give it a bit longer before we call it out as a shit loan.

If he's out on loan he needs to be somewhere that he will get game time regardless of how he's performing. You can't come in for 45 mins here and there every 2 or 3 weeks and be expected to be in top form. You need game time to get into form. It's a pointless loan if he's not gonna get the chance to play regularly, otherwise he may as well be training with us and playing in the cups for us.
