convert him to RD to back up Walker,...

Always thought he played better wide, doesnt get confused with choice then. Think some players when they receive the ball have a plan, and receive the ball go straight through with it. Jenas has talent, but bless him he gets all confused.

Should of been a RB or RM / not quite a winger. A much more comfortable position for him as it requires much less though in what to do, and positionally simpler.

Not that I have any attachment to Jenas, but it's surprising AVB didn't want to give him a chance - all managers seem to love him for his versatility and fitness [even if they rarely seem to want to play him].

Fitness isn't something he's had much of for the past three seasons, but he's been a nailed-on starter for Jol, Ramos and—initially—Harry, three completely different managers. Maybe that should give some people a little pause for thought. Apart from the nancy-boy tackling (if only he'd get stuck in like Parker!) and that frustrating sense he's always playing within his capabilities, holding something back, I don't have any real problem with him. Would he have been any worse than the rest of our midfield against Norwich? There are worse players to have on the bench.

Heh, LUFC scummers already giving it the biggun. "If he was to drop down to the Championship, then it may as well be for a bigger team than Spurs." Aye right, the rest of us can't move for all 7 of the trophies cluttering up the place.

Where did this guff about LUFC being anything other than a parochial club who became a regional and then national power for a brief period in the 70's and 80's come from?

No wonder they didn't get on with chelsea. Far too similar.

I have to agree with SS57 above, JJ just doesn't have the fitness now. The one thing the guy had was pace (when he actually wanted to use it). All the latest reports suggest he has lost this which was his one major weapon.

Such a shame - I always thought there was a really excellent footballer in there somewhere! Best of luck from me JJ.
