Both referencing the same Spanish source which isn’t the greatest. City will hardly slash his fee in half after 6 months either.

I thought he was decent when he first went to Juve. Didn't really follow him so was a bit surprised when they let City have him - sure they paid a lot but I thought they'd have kept him from what I saw.

It's quite alarming that City would be prepared to let him go after only a few months. Have they realised he's not up to Walker's standard? Is he not fitting into Pep' s methods? Or is he just unhappy there?

If it's the former then we should be worried as we've never really replaced Walker and signing a defender deemed to not be adequate to replace him at City (when Walker is starting to knock on) seems like a sideways step.

Seems highly unlikely to me but it does fit in with the ITK about an experienced Portuguese player who isn't Bruno F I suppose.

This could fit in with Dragons latest info, but the wording of "we are in talks with another rb" made me wonder if it was a player on a free or in the last few months of their contract. Thomas Munier is the obvious one and he's a player who could come in and play with Toby straight away. I'm probably reading too much into the wording though.

Munier would be amusing for Aurier, displaced by the same bloke 2 clubs in a row!

Cancelo has played the full 90 minutes in each of their last three games. It would be a bit odd to sell him straight after he gets a run in the team. Or have City got someone else lined up?

Wanted us to go for him last season so would be very happy with this deal but can't see it. I think City would want a lot more.

I wonder if it ties in with the Aarons ITK. How are City’s HG quotas at the moment?

Definitely can't see this. Pep likes to have quality in depth and he probably sees Cancelo as the one to take over from Walker eventually, who is 30 this year.

Only way I could see this as any bit possible is if Cancelo is for whatever reason trying to force a move or if Pep really really doesn't rate him.
