Legacy: something left or handed down by a predecessor.

I'm not knocking what Pochettino achieved with the first team 2014- June 2019, but he deserves a lot of criticism for his "paid to train, not to play" attitude and disregard of how critically important playing regular matches is to a young player's development. Foyth is the (so far) last in a list of talents who haven't become as good as they should have been because of this strategy.

Was it confirmed if there's an option for them to buy at the end of the loan? I know VY said it was a permanent, but I've only seen it confirmed as a pure loan thus far

I don't think the club will confirm if there is an option before Villarreal decide they want to trigger it.

Ally Gold says there is an option and tbh that's good enough for me.
Villarreal confirm the option in their own website announcement

Seems like a good kid and I hope he has a good career now as I don’t think there’s any question over his attitude. Just wasn’t going anywhere with us.
Agree. Basically we failed to loan him out to get experience when we should have and now we can’t afford to give him the time to mature to see if he can make it. I wish him a long and successful career

Just finished watching Villareal play Athletico Madrid and they look like a quality side that play decent football. If he can get enough minutes this hopefully is a great opportunity for him to d3velop and realise the potential he has.

Aye, they’ve been a really good side to watch for at least 15 years since that side with Riquelme pulling the strings. I’ll be interested to see what position he ends up playing.

Last time we met them also arguably the most outplayed we've been in modern time. Pre season a decade ago.

At least to me, Foyth's farewell post, reports of an £8m loan fee (not cheap!), plus us trying to sign another young CB (Rodon) all strongly suggest Villareal has an option to buy.

That and the fact that they say so on their own website? ?

The loan agreement has a purchase option at the end of the season

Third time I’m posting this link for people ?
