I hope we just loan him instead, as I think he still has bags of potential. He also has home grown status for us.

Even if he doesn't have a long term future with us, I think his value could double if he gets a whole season under his belt.

If Ben White is actually worth £20m, Foyth should be worth every bit of that to a Premier League club. Foyth is younger, already has 10 senior Argentina caps and shares home grown status.

I don’t think Foyth is home grown, he’d just been at the club long enough to be on our Champions League B list for one season.

How about we loan him instead? Still has bags of potential but needs game time to assess him. Save the money on signing a replacement for him for now and just use Walcott & Davies as emergency CB’s.

Tanganga, Dier, Toby & Sanchez. 4 CBs on the books and we desperately need a RB.

Sell Foyth and put it towards a RB

I think it would be a big mistake to sell him. He's got oodles of potential.

The complete refusal to try the one full back stays & one attacks with Foyth & Sessegnon flipped makes zero sense.

Foyth showed good performances at RB. Really frustrating he got injured early in the season and didn't get to lock down that spot. This was going to be his breakout year.

I was very much of the same opinion last year and wanted him to be given game time at RB like Poch intended. I saw him last year at Copa America and he did a good job against Chile. However international football has a different pace about it.

However, everything has changed. He's 22, 23 in January and has missed crucial time for his development. He's had little time to iron out his mistakes and we are in no position to give him that time to do so. That time has passed.

One of his biggest issues is carrying the ball out of defence, always has a heavy touch or lapse in concentration. Each time we have given him the opportunity he has made a mistake. It's not entirely his fault because he needs an environment in which he is allowed to do that and he should have been loaned out as soon as we signed him.

I don’t like how he seems to have been ostracised over that one mistake at Norwich, yet there’s players who continually get picked who make them kind of mistakes nearly every game. Would love for him to be given a fair crack of the whip over a handful of games at least.

With that attitude I think we should keep him and look to loan him this summer if we can fund our transfer kitty through other sales. He's got all the ability in the world and just needs experience to learn the mental side of the game, gain some composure and cut out the silly mistakes that are holding him back.

Even if we eventually wind up selling him I have a hard time believing that his value wouldn't increase substantially by going out on loan to Leeds for the season. If he's able to improve his decisionmaking he'll be worth well in excess of 15m IMO. Better to loan him than to sell him when his value is low if we can do without the money this summer.

He’s made a fair few mistakes tbf, Wolves springs to mind and didn’t he stupidity get sent off at Bournemouth?

It is. I guess we'll never know how it would have turned out.

I think the reason Jose hasn't flipped the full backs is down to not having a RB who can be like Davies. I think Foyth is too young to be trusted with that role. He often gets a rush of blood, like some young players do.

If he was good enough to play RB for Argentina I think he’s good enough to get a shot at RB here since it’s a position of need and he’s already here.

White and Foyth could be one of the best CB partnerships in the league for years to come (not starting next season), if they can keep them. If Fagan Walcott is rated highly then I doubt we keep Foyth. Mourinho loves Dier, dropped Sanchez for him, so not much room for Foyth. I hope we only loan him.

Why would Brighton sell White to a direct competitor?
