I'm not worried about the league he's coming from. VVD spent alot of time playing in Netherlands and Scotland.

fair - what was interesting was the players he did it to were players of substance including Axel playing at a high level in Germany
This is true, but could you argue some of these players are washed up and / or complacent after playing in a far less competitive division?

And Vidic came to Man Utd from the Russian league. We should take more punts like these imo.
Everything really depends on player. For example Edmond Tapsoba in 1,5 year went from making professional debut in Vitoria Guimaraes reserves to being one of the best Bundesliga center back.

If you say min-jae quite quickly it sounds like a posh way of saying minge, therefore I'm in, God knows we've had a few ****'s play for this Club already, one more won't hurt :cautious:

Spot on!
Could see it now if we didnt sign him and he went elsewhere and his price doubles or trebles and then see comments like why didnt we sign him for 15m now he is going to cost ......

Is it just the big kid in me, but his name sounds a lot like a ladies private parts... The makings of a great song and nickname for him right there. Sign him up! He looks like a beast, and as long as he has decent ball control he should be a good punt. The kind we should go for.

Would love this signing. Looks like a good fit for the PL and at a reasonable price, it’s worth the punt. This should be where we operate in filling out the squad without huge financial outlay/risk. It’s why I feel Campos would be such a coup for us.

I went to Seoul last year and couldn't quite believe how much coverage we got cos of Son. They had TV programmes just showing all his goals for us. He is on a lot of billboards too.

[Exclusive] Min-jae Kim, Tottenham transfers suddenly… Adjusting transfer fees between clubs

Football team defender Kim Min-jae (24, Beijing Guan) is flying to Tottenham, England's professional football.

An official familiar with the European football transfer market said on the 15th, "As for Kim Min-jae's transfer, negotiations are underway between Beijing Guoan and the Tottenham club. Both teams are positive about the transfer." While the transfer fee was suggested, Beijing proposed a higher level of 17 million euros (about 23 billion won), and the two sides are in tune."

It is said that the recruitment of Kim Min-jae was actively pursued by the high-ranking team of Tottenham. Tottenham is struggling with a lot of defense deficit this season, and he intends to solve this problem through the recruitment of Kim Min-jae, one of the best in Asia. One of Tottenham's central defense resources, Jan Vertongen, is likely to leave the team at the end of the season.

Not sure how you're supposed to scout this guy if he's only played his club football in sub-par professional leagues.

Even his international caps are against mainly ropey opposition (check Transfermarkt for details).

If he's coming in to be 4th choice for around £15m, I'd rather we just bought the best young homegrown prospect from the Championship.

That said, perhaps his physical attributes/performance data indicates that he could make the grade, so who knows?

Absolutely agree mate,
He didn't prove anything but coming spurs as a 15m? it's bollocks
Look at the what Davinson has done before siginig with spurs
Kim is good player but just in China
Seriously can't understand why he even linked with spurs

How good is he?

He's good in national team and his career team but he is unproved player at all.
Different class with Sonny
I wish u guys NOT TO expect stunning impact like sonny

-Thing is heaps of Korean said 'Why Kim should be on the bench? Toby is slow, Juan and Tanganga is young and Davinson is weak at in mid-air.'
now they are nationalizing for reason that Kim should be a first defender (jesus fed up with all of Korean plastic fans who don't even watch spurs game without Son)
