Not being funny but anyone coming from anywhere other than the French, German, Italian or Spanish leagues are coming from sub par leagues.

One of you lot needs to get on the blower to Danny boy because he's clearly wasting a fortune on scouts when the only games we need to be looking at are on the box from the big 5 leagues.
Trix ?lol ?

Just waiting for a third ITKer to join the discussion before I unconsciously shit myself with heavenly joy for no reason other than my life lacks any focus beyond this website

Jan (obviously), Foyth and maybe downsizing Toby. He's only got one more year to his contract.

Toby only signed a new contract 6 month's ago....here until 2023.

No idea why some posters think he will be sold, no one else will pay as much.

A lot of you saying you dont want him because no experience, weak league blah blah blah. Then another PL club go for him and he turns out to be a good signing, then the same people bitch and moan as to why arent we going after players like him.

Think this could be a very shrewd signing. That said, he looks like another right footer and I'd prefer we replace Vertonghen with a more natural left-sided CB like Ake, given the choice. Dier does at least look comfortable on the left side, but Sanchez and even Toby don't.

If we are going for a left footer then Gabriel at Lille would be perfect.

I know you have to take these vids with a serious pinch, but I like what I see there. Quick feet for a CB and some clever little plays.

I'm just concerned he tries that vs better opponents and gets mugged off catastrophically.

Like Foyth, you mean??!!

fair - what was interesting was the players he did it to were players of substance including Axel playing at a high level in Germany

Definitely need 5, especially when one (Tanganga) is also an auxiliary full back and another (Dier) is likely to still be needed for the odd midfield stint. Also gives us the option to comfortable switch too a 3 if we ever need to. Then there’s the fact that Toby is on the slide, so we need to succession plan.

Apart from that one video where he looks rapid I have no clue about Kim, but if he is of requisite quality (or potentially) then It could be a very shrewd piece of business.
It depends on where we finish. If we're out of Europe 5 centre backs is ridiculous. The squad would need thinning not fattening numbers wise.

I don't have an issue with signing a CB, more with the numbers. We'd need to move on Toby or loan both Tanganga and Foyth if we get a RB in.

The lad is only 23, so plenty of prime years ahead of him and time to adapt to the PL. 30 appearances for his national team including 3 national goals, is an impressive achievement. We clearly don't have the funds to buy top-tier VVD types with PL experience so players like Kim are definitely worth a good look

loan to buy this one I reckon. Why take the risk any other way at the moment.

I like a squad of 25. 2 for every position then a third goalie, a versatile defensive player and a versatile attacking player (both promising youths) for injury crisis cover.
