If your argument is we have areas on serious need of strengthening then I agree. At the moment we have Son, Moura and Parrott who can play up front. This is far from ideal.

But acknowledging a problem and then thinking it is easily resolved is not looking at recent history.

In the summer we signed Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon. All have shown glimpses of ability but none have really contributed. So those thinking we should get a striker to save this season are probably being unrealistic. Remember Sessegnon came from the Prem so it isn't just signings from abroad that take time to settle.

Piatek is someone many don't really rate. Bringing him in might be a good idea but a loan to judge him in person is probably a good idea if Milan are open to the deal.

Llorente as a short term fix is probably our best option. His settling in time will be minimal. The challenge is getting our team to adapt to his strengths.

This season is frustrating, I get that. But thinking a January signing is going to make a huge impact for us is just not looking at history. Options are scarce and a player joining mid-season is not the easiest way to integrate.

Spot on

Milan likely need to sell as they are trying hard to sign olmo the Spanish midfielder playing for Zagreb so that's probably why they are insistent on a sale and given he's a striker (the most important position for a team who is the most likely to be buying in January as usually only teams underperforming buy in January) they are likely to find a buyer this month whether it's us or not.

Thats JM all over Ugly football, Chelsea were the worst teams ever in terms of good football, but after years people only remeber the Trophies, but thats JM all over ... I dont agree with it in terms i dont want to see that as much as you as much as any spurs fan, but the reality is thats what we are stuck with . Piatek a No 9 holdup target man, not the best not the worst but defo talent in there that 'COULD' be improved yes its all relative but we have JM, remit even if no one accepts this is some silverware forget the style the glamour ad glory, that was the silent statement made by the Levy and Joe Lewis by getting in Jose, we have to let go of the glamour for silverware. Problem is we are where we are, ive crossed everything possible and pray its a gamble that pays off no matter how laborious and pain stacking it it is
You didn’t watch much of Jose’s Chelsea, Inter or Real sides, did you?

i remember Jol having Keane, Berbatov, Defoe and Bent! Crazy to think now we only have Kane

Redknapp used to have 4 or 5 too - Pav, Keane, Defoe, Crouch... Even when Saha came in we would have had Defoe, Adebayor, Gio and technically VdV in that position.

I think it's a symptom of having Harry Kane. Remember when Morata was linked and Poch came out and said the player had said no because they didn't want to spend their career stuck behing Kane? No top forward will come here to do that and as we play with one striker as opposed to two, a stable of standby's is not doable either.

Yet every other club barring us has more than 1 recognised striker! From a footballing perspective the way things are run is an absolute disgrace.

Totally agree. Kane is over played in my opinion. Hence why he keeps getting injured. We never learn. We need at least two strikers and a bit of rotation is needed to help kane stay in tip top shape

Bayern, Borussia(Paco will leave on loan, they offered him to Barca, i think he would be better than Piątek but he wants minutes)

Did i mention real? Did i mention inter? I only mentioned the chavs and yes i did

If you watched them you would know that his Real Madrid side broke a number of records including: 100 points in a single season, 121 goals scored, a goal difference of +89, 16 away wins, and 32 overall wins. They were far from boring.

Plus, there’s nothing boring about eye gouging

I think we should be looking for a number 9 who could also play with Kane. Someone like Timo Werner can play as either a WF or a 9, just as Kane can play as a 9 or a 10. If both are fit you could play both - Kane dropping into the hole behind Werner, or play a front three of Kane, Son (or Moura) and Werner (with Werner on the right), similar to how Liverpool play Firmino, Mane and Salah. Might also give Kane some genuine competition and see him go up another level. Why keep looking stop gaps when we need a proper strategic plan - it's not like Kane has an impressive ever present record.

I like this. But it makes too much sense to actually happen
