This is the Tuesday before a Europa game in either Romania or North Macedonia if we beat Plovdiv. So nice to draw one of the smaller teams, but travel wise Orient would be much preferred - if it's Plymouth we might have to send an entire separate squad down there and hope for the best. We'll find on the 15th or 16th of September with the tie likely to be played on the 22nd.

Leyton Orient is about as good an away tie as we could hope to be honest.

I don't even think it's that bad, obviously go strong in the league but even if we rotate we should have enough in the cup matches.

Fans of both clubs are probably right now bemoaning the fact that they draw to play us at home whilst all this Covid stuff is going on.

How Orienty they are saying over on Orientcommunity and 'could it be more Argyley' down on Argylecommunity.

Big preference for Orient, being in a lower division and closer to us, but would be surprised to see them go through (things are never that easy for Spurs!)

That 2nd week from Southampton onwards is bad, I think the team which plays on the 20th will need to be the team that plays on the 22nd or near enough and then get the "B" team as it were to take the europa game so we're fresh for newcastle.

If you was going to effectively have an A and B team which is simplifying it as there's bound to be rotation between the teams you could do the fixtures like this:

Sept 13: Everton (H) - A Team
Sept 17: Loko Plovdiv (A, UEL) - B Team
Sept 20: Southampton (A) - A Team
Sept 22: Leyton Orient or Plymouth (A, EFL) - A Team
Sept 24: Botosani or Shkendija (A, UEL) - B Team
Sept 27: Newcastle (H) - A Team
Sept 29: EFL Cup R3 - A Team
Oct 1: Europa League PO - B Team
Oct 3: Man Utd (A) - A Team

It's a bit of a mess, I think we will need 3 variations of the forward line to be quite honest.

Don't think we need an A team for the League cups do we, maybe a mixture of both.

We’ll have a problem with striker. Kane should not play either of the mid week games. Ideally, it’ll be Lucas in the LC & the new striker in the Europa

It was more about avoiding them having to play the europa game so close to the prem game, unless the reserve team takes both which might be more logical with a sprinkling of first teamers for the league cup.

Yh I think you're looking at something like:

Prem: Moura Kane Son
Cup: Lamela Son Bergwijn
Europa: Clarke Moura Sessegnon

1 more forward would really sort us out.

I have an impression that in 10 last draws we were drawn home maybe once or twice. Is it me or we always play away?

Kane and Son can play in all of them, get match fit, notch up a few for confidence, no risks or downsides at all, huksake

I hope it's Orient as I have a bit of a soft spot for them. In the 50's when Spurs were not at home I would sometimes go to a game with my Uncle on his motorbike and sidecar. Great times ordinary games.
