Wonder what his duties actually are - this doesn't sound like a typical coaching role. Anyone able to shine a light on this?

Well done though Ledders!

If it was a hands-on coaching role, I'd expect his title to be First Team Assistant Coach. My guess is that it's very much in a mentor capacity.

In his presence, it is difficult to lose face. I hope Ndombele gets it and follows Ledley's example of how to give it all with only one knee.

I very much presume that his position isn't linked to Jose and his coaching team, in that should Jose leave or get sacked then Ledley won't be leaving with them! Maybe that's why he is named as first team 'assistant.'

This is fantastic news. Tottenham through and through. Respected amongst staff and players. Knows his defense. Learning from one of the top managers in history. May I say we have a future manager in our hands? Preferably our manager?

Would he fancy it? He seems to be fairly quiet and reserved (not that this is a criticism obviously) and I’m not sure whether he’d feel comfortable in a front and centre role but you never know.

Great to hear it.

Was actually genuinely surprised it was Ledley as I thought during his stint trying out coaching with our youth setup that he wasn't quite up for it.

Our defending was very good post-restart (outside of the Sheffield United debacle). If you skip that match we only conceded 4 in 8 games, and one of those was a penalty kick to Man Utd. Wonder if he had anything to do with that?

Who? Oh I remember him. Used to get the odd game for us... dodgy knee... and fluked a tackle against Robben once.

Never rated him.
