There’s a negative atmosphere about the club at the moment and I think Pochettino is exacerbating that rather than helping it.

I don’t know where we go from here. I’m pessimistic.

Are you talking about Trix comment in other thread today or something else?

For those that missed it, Trix said (opinion) that Poch will be gone by Christmas.
I didn’t see that comment. I can see it coming though- something really isn’t right with our squad and that’s a huge issue for a manager that’s better known for his ability to create cohesiveness rather than tactical nous

The thing about the diamond seems to be, when we drop back to defend, there is no natural place for three players to go. We often got to watch Lamela, Kane, and Son not join in our defensive shape when we were under quite a lot of pressure. There was always space to one side of our midfield three.

Whereas if we play three across the top there's a natural requirement for the wide players to be aware at least of the defensive situation on their side.

True, but on both occasions we conceded just before HT. Different story to go two up with 25 to play.
You'd like to think so but live by the gun 'n all that - VAR just implemented what is ultimately a rule that needs serious reworking.

In any case, there's bigger issues at play here and there's a distinct terminal feel about it under Poch.

We used to be so solid at the back, but we’ve been easy to get at all season so far. Conceding bags of attempts on goal.

No away win since January is a massive concern.
But this is a Tottenham team who we are told are top four quality and reached a CL final at the moment they look like frauds the lot of them.

Disgrace of a VAR decision, when that close VAR should fuck off, they were not sure where to draw line, no science behind it. That said our pathetic defence again conceded two goals and could easily have been more.

Said the squad isn't stronger than last year in the press conference.
Im not sure whose side im on here. And obviously levy recently saying there is funds available. Poch to me seems to have lost half the dressing room. Players not putting in a shift barring lamela, winks. Something is clearly off.

The most frustrating thing about VAR wasn’t the offside, it was the red card. It’s a straight leg, over the ball challenge. How can VAR not intervene. This “clear and obvious” ruling is redundant. They never intervene.

Oh well. Social media switched off for the day, MOTD taken off record, radio muted.

See you all next week.

Never mind the league it was never on. But top 4 is no hope.
Still believe we can get top four but I’m having to say Poch needs replacing. Levy will be severely hacked off as well.

Who would anyone want to replace him though? Who can turn this around and fast? Or over the longer term?

Just literally sitting here now wondering why Wanyama for Sissoko. Wanyama has one knee and we can’t even sell him because nobody wants him. We have Dier and Skipp. Why Wanyama Poch. If Sissoko was on he would of blocked that Maddison hit. If Wanyama tried to block it his knee would shatter.

Massive over reaction in here... we are still paying for the Newcastle game which no one can excuse the performance that day. But seriously we were not that bad today just didn’t take our chances,

Seen us play a hell of a lot worse in the past six months.

As I said earlier barring the Wanyama substitution I personally haven’t got too many complaints.

We're starting to look like Newcastle under Keegan (only not as exciting). If we don't score our midfield will always switch off and allow the opposition to get at our back four. I blame Poch for this and the stupid bloody system he refuses to change.

Players didn’t follow the plan maaaaaan...

Maybe they think we shouldn’t be playing a fucking diamond as well.

We were unlucky to lose today and generally showed a lot of spirit. However, Eriksen remains dreadful and I cannot understand continuing with Wanyama. I just hope our fortune improves soon.
