I've got no idea what was said about Chelsea at the time. Their League and champions League wins were under different managers and quite a few different players though.
The year Arsenal won the league by going unbeaten they were described as a great team. They didn't win anything else.

Maybe the clause is true, there are other big money teams though!

Classic tabloid dumbing down/bigging up of how much they got for him though. That figure was euros and several add ons haven't been met relating to CL, will still eventually get 100 though.
