I was hoping they would keep the run going tbh. Mainly because they play Arsenal and Chelsea right at the end of the season when, in all likelihood, they’ll have the league all wrapped up. With nothing to play for I was hoping they’d at least have that to give them that extra motivation but now you just know one of those ***** will get something out of them.

Very annoyed about that.. they might as well have outdone Arsenal’s unbeaten season while they were fucking at it..

Imagine if they did lose it now. This team will go down as the biggest bottlejobs in Sport ever and that would give me immense satisfaction. But it would mean they would need to get only 10 points now until the end of the season with 10 games left and for city to win every remaining game. If everyone just worked together to stop them this could work!

They probably wont lose it at this stage unfortunately but the longer it goes on the better it is. How they react to this defeat will be the biggest factor. Bournemouth at home should be a shoe in for them but Everton away the following week will be much more difficult now. Palace and then City away. Who knows

Had a little glance at RAWK. Spent about one minute in the Van Dijk thread, mainly because he’s not getting any stick at all for yesterday in the media ( Lovren taking all the blame with Trent getting some stick ) and my god...some of the stuff they write about Van Dijk. This is from more than one lone nutter too..

It’s no longer ‘best defender in Prem history’, no, it’s gone way beyond that, apparently he’s better than Nesta, Costacurta, Cannavaro and Baresi, with a few ranking him above/alongside Maldini.
To be fair, one chap was saying it’s hard to compare him with Maldini because of ‘different eras’ so it’s like trying to compare, and this is true, ‘Messi with Pele’

Fuck a duck!!! That’s up there with the best of them.

He’s obviously top quality in this current division and Liverpool side. He looks shakier in Europe, was poor yesterday and for me, still has a bit of a way to go to be ranked alongside the best the prem has seen. Currently he’s had a great 18 months/2 years, in a team that plays a system that suits him down to the ground.

Baresi and Nesta on a different level and he’s not fit to lace Maldini’s boots

A complacent bump in the road, against a side that's been upsetting opposition's left, right and centre. They'll still win it in 4 matches.

To he honest they haven't been playing that well for a while. Scraped past West Ham, winning 13 games by 1 goal. They do have the ability to keep a lot of clean sheets though.

This result has been coming in my opinion. And there is sure to be a few more hiccups along the way.

Defeat to Atletico in the CL would be a lovely confidence knocker.

I'm wondering if this is the start of the regression for this team. They've been pretty damn good for 24 months now and that's usually the shelf life for teams. City had it and won the league twice with record points, we had it under Poch but somehow never got over the line for anything, Liverpool had it last season and this.

I'm just speculating of course. Maybe it is and maybe it isn't but the best teams seem to only have a certain shelflife these days

It would be lovely to see it fall apart a little bit

They will probably sign a few players that they can bed in over the next couple of seasons. They can't keep playing the same 11 as it's clear they are starting to tire.

This will be a challenging period for them as they need to find players who can match the leadership and drive of Milner/Henderson and the ability to be as influential as Salah and Mane or at least be a decent stand in. It's not always so easy.

Is it me or has Salah gone completely off the boil? I know he's not been as good as last season but I barely hear his name mentioned.

Still scores every other game. His stats are just down on that one ridiculous season.

Hadn't heard any cringey 'Mo' mentions for a while and the times I've seen Liverpool he's not particularly done a lot. Yeah I think that season was a freak season and the talks of him being like Messi and Ronaldo was premature.

Yeah I agree.

I tell you who I despise in their team. Van dijk. He’s such a smug fucker.

Has anyone got contract details for that kid who wrote to Klopp? I need to give him Frank Lampards address.
