I remember my friend telling me (and an Arsenal supporting friend of mine) how they were the last team to win at Highbury and the first team to win at Emirates. And they had a song for it.

"How does that go?" We asked...

"Weeee're the last team to win at High Bury...
And the first team to win at Emy Rats..."
*repeat*

And Wet Spam fans wonder why they get laughed at......oh, wait, the act of wondering means the presence of a thought process....as you were

This is all starting to get very real. Not getting my hopes up too much just yet.

But;

Saints (H) draw max
Arse (A) can both teams lose?
Wolves (H) loss
Spurs (A) anything could happen
Chelsea (H) loss

Is their next 5 fixtures. I cant see them getting many more than 4 or 5 points out of that, and 3 will probably be against us.

They have an ok run after that but playing v teams who are down there with them battling.

Please go down.

Please.

Go.

Down.

What? Arsenal won the final game at Highbury, beating Wigan 4-2 on the last day of the season. West Ham did beat Arsenal there in February, but it wasn't the last game. As for winning the first game at the Emirates again it was Arsenal with a 3-0 win against Sheffield united in September 2006. West Ham didn't even visit the stadium until April 2007 - they won 1-0 so I guess they won their last game at Highbury and their first one at the Emirates. I guess when you're a West Ham fan any win is worth writing a song about.

Can’t believe it was only -1 on the goal difference, the way it is down the bottom that is almost like a point for them

West Ham are as good as gone.....and it won't be easy to get back up either.

Not sure about that. They have some real talent in their squad and a couple of wins will see them shoot up the table. Hoping they’ll go down but they have one of the best squads in the bottom half of the table.

I think it’s because West Ham were the last away team to win at the library and the first away team to win at the new place.

You know, as much as I dislike Liverpool, I was cheering them on last night as if I were a red mickey myself, but deep down in my gut, I had a horrible feeling that the pikeys are just that sort of team to suddenly and seemingly out of nowhere, produce a record breaking performance at Anfield, and blow me, at one stage they went 2-1 in front and all my horrors started to come true. I've been saying all season to my friends that if Liverpool do lose a game, it won't be to one of the top sides, it'll be in a game they thought they'd win easily, exactly like the game last night. Thank God that didn't happen in the end, thanks to a beautiful goalkeeping cock-up, so in the end, I was a very happy bunny (or should I say 'cockerel)?

God I hate them, the Dildo Brothers and Miss Piggy. Seems like the West Ham fans hate them too judging by the 'Sack The Board' banners and the black balloons being released in their little corner last night.

I don't ask for much in life, really I don't but PLEASE PLEASE let's see them relegated into the dustbin of the championship and do us all a massive favour.

You should be ashamed.

Yes, probably a bad and misleading choice of wording on my part and I apologise.

Obviously, I'm not one of those. It could have been anyone playing West Ham last night and I would have been the same. In my defence, I was hardly jumping up and down singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' but I was desperate for the buggers to lose and eventually get relegated, which I'm sure we all do.

Yes, the last part. But I would never cheer for Liverpool or be happy for anything they do. Can't they both get relegated? :playful:

I'm guessing that they celebrate being the last team to win at Highbury and the first to win at the Emirates.

That really is sad (in the full pejorative sense of the word). Such a small mentality to have. Even the smallest, meanest, most marginal amateur side has dreams. This lot are just something else.

You can't even laugh at it it's so pathetic. You can't even pity them - they're so low that it just turns into despisement.

Whatever we may think of West Ham as a club, GSB are below contempt. They are trash, nothing more, nothing less.

Indeed, fair play to people actually showing up for controlled protests. Compared to people just spewing shit online or turning up at their chairman's place *cough* Utd *cough*.

Yeah West Ham fans did that a while back.
