A video is doing the rounds of red flares being fired at a house with the caption “Ed Woodward’s gonna die”

What a dark day for that club.

For all the anti-ownership talk we've had, we can summarise:

West Ham are bollocks'd
Chelsea have successfully appealed their transfer ban only to ignore it
United have spent 6 months negotiating to sign a player and their fans want to lynch the CEO
Arsenal basically struggling to complete a loan deal

Oh well never mind eh

Will be interesting how many idiots will still continue with that weird creepy Woodward song about "cut him up from head to toe."

Boo hoo, so you don't win the league anymore.

His two daughters could easily have been home and terrorised by grown men breaking in with balaclavas and smoke bombs.

Idiots.

Good stuff united fans. Fucking scumbags. Disgraceful fucking twats.

The sad thing is if Levy's address became known a small group of Spurs fans would do something similar. Out of all sports football fans have to be among the worst.

I maybe well off mark here...but I seem to remember some of our fans hassling Alan Sugar at his house when he was in charge. Irrespective of loyalties all teams have their fair share of nutters and unpleasant folk (obviously Liverpool have the most).

What is the matter with people. This is absolutely disgusting & the people should be arrested & put in prison for this. He has two daughters who may or may not have been in the house, hearing these absolute scum singing songs about their dad, they are just the rats of society who should rot somewhere so that the general public don't have to deal with them.

How any grown man can possibly think this kind of behaviour is remotely acceptable is just beyond me.

Society’s fucked when you look at what football fans are capable of normalising in their own heads.

Totally agree with all the sentiments expressed here.

What thick, thick, sad, thick men they all are. Beyond embarrassing not to mention massively inappropriate.

Didn't this thick lot rock up to Rooney's house with their pitchforks a few years ago when he was in some contract dispute?

What's worse is that some of them probably have kids. You've only got to imagine how they are being brought up!

Woodward has sanctioned massive spending on transfers since Ferguson retired, something many fans at other clubs would love and this is the treatment he gets .

I still think that Neville etc have a role to play in this. I use him as an example, but the wider football punditry collective are all just as guilty.

They (the pundits) continuously romanticise the Ferguson era but the league has accelerated very quickly away from that time. There is a reason that UTD fans are seen as entitled pricks, because they grew up getting everything they wanted with no-one there to say no.

Now thing's aren't going their way and the people who are unhealthily attached to their football club are moving to singing death threat's and vandalising their Vice Chairman's House. Pundits continuously hyping Man UTD as some mistreated deity and then pointing Woodward out as the reason for it run the risk of the zealot's doing something stupid.

Outside of the obvious immorality of the act, what precisely were these brain-donors expecting to happen? Woodward to turn around and say, “oh, I didn’t know you felt THAT strongly about it. I guess I’ll excuse the pain and fear you’ve caused my family, walk away from my high-paying, high-profile job, possibly uproot my family and stain my own CV to boot, just to ensure I don’t get threatened again”?

Let’s be clear, were I a Yanited fan, I’d be staunchly opposed to the manner in which the club was being run by Woodward and the Glazers. But even if I had zero moral compass, I’d still realise how idiotic an action that is.

That said, simply saying that it was the action of stupid people is reductive. They were the pus in the boil, but why the boil is there in the first place should also be addressed.

Of course, that’s not going to happen, because the commentariat don’t do thought anymore...
