Spurs are better stocked in midfield, which is less of a priority area. One name that has been mentioned as a possible target is Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini but any signing would mean meeting the player’s €30 million (£25.6 million) buyout clause.

seems linked to him every window...
Not gonna go so far as to disagree, but surely Zaniola (and his mum to the pervier peeps on this forum) has been beau of the month for the last couple of seasons?

In any case, I'd like this to happen.

Roma and Arsenal close to agreement for Granit Xhaka - Get Italian Football News
Roma and Arsenal could be heading closer to an agreement for Granit Xhaka.

In this article it is stated that Mourinho wants to play a midfield three of Xhaka, Veretout and Cristante. No room for Pellegrini, who incidently has 1 year left on his deal (right up our street). We also clearly would like to bring in a midfielder of his ilk (see Aouar links) if we can get bodies out the door. This is a transfer I could see happening.
