We just sold Trippier for 20mil
He's a 28 year old with 2 years left on his contract coming off the back of a shit season. Very differnt to a the value Everton would demand for Digne, who arguably was the best left back in the league last season, is still only 25, has a long contract. Plus Everton don't want to sell.

You never know, he could have a release clause for a Champions League team. Without something like that id be surprised to see them sell him.

Totally agree. I dont believe people think things through logically before posting or listening to rumours.
Not sure what you’re talking about - almost every post in this thread is agreeing that we think pulling this one off is very unlikely? Still worth discussing given Rebrab’s info.

Yeah struggling to see why Everton would give us Digne for Rose. Love rose to bits but his delivery isn’t great and Dignes is top class
Because there's more to playing fullback than just delivery. Rose is a better defender than Digne at the moment, and brings a greater intensity and commitment, i guess, to the role, which are those types of intangible traits that can often be undervalued.

Not sure how many assists he had as I can’t find any, scored 4 goals. 2 in one game. Hardly Roberto Carlos. Bit of a match of the day player?

Digne

4 goals, 4 assists in 35 prem appearances according to transfermarkt.

Rose and Davies combined racked up 3 assists and 0 goals last season, with a much better strike force to aim at.

I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see us spend the combined fee from Tripper/Rose on a first choice left back. Then let the three options at right back fight it out next season and see if we can avoid a big investment there too. Makes perfect sense.

Ah but in 17/18, Davies scored twice and assisted six times...

...Not wanting to get on the stats trip, initially just wanted to inform how many assists Digne provided last season.

However I feel the need to inform @OpenHeartZoo that according to transfermarkt Rose assisted 4 goals in 26 prem appearances last season.

Still hopeful on Sess and no Digne ...

Still waiting for someone to explain the positivity that's about at the moment.
