Luton Town have set their sights on re-signing Tottenham defender Cameron Carter-Vickers this summer.
The USA centre-back, 22, has been given the green light by the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to leave permanently after spending the last three seasons out on loan at five different English Championship teams.

Am I the only one who would like to see him given time working with Mourinho and potentially keep him until at least January? Could be good squad player for the league cup and Europa league, plus he’s home grown

Unfortunately I think that ship has sailed.

He'd be last in line after Toby, Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga and Foyth.

At 22, and without standout progress over the last couple of years, I don't think the club considers him a PL-level player. Would be fine if we could get a decent fee, and he would be guaranteed first team football.

He's actually done relatively well when he's gone out on loan to the championship. Over 100 senior appearances isn't bad for his age. 30 plus apps in consecutive seasons is good for a young centre half. Fair play to him.

He'll have plenty of options reckon. Should forge a decent career.

Another one of those players who seemed like they could be the real deal but it's just not worked out.

Remember meeting him the day after he marked Falcao in an U23 game against United, and he was so cool about the fact that he bossed him.

Luton haven’t got a pot to piss in, Fulham on the other hand...
Could be a good signing for Scottie actually, what do we think a young, international defender is worth in the current climate, £6-10m?
Still can’t believe we managed to rinse £18m out of Stoke for Wimmer!

I think we'll get 5-7m for him, don't think it'll go up to 10m.

Had high hopes for him early on but I don't see him getting any sort of a chance here. Similarly I thought Caulker might make it but he sank without trace.

CCV is a good championship defender who at the right club could succeed in the prem.

Just not quite good enough for a top 6 team unfortunately.

I'd say £2.5m plus add ons sounds about right.

Good luck to the lad, seems to have a great attitude and will have a decent career.
