He is a wide attacker, nothing wrong with having options to rotate seems to work for Man City

Already have Lucas, Lamela, Son, Dele, Eriksen for these spots.

We could do with another striker/winger like Son in Timo Werner and ship Llorente/GKN/Janssen off.

He would only be a 'loan',hasn't played much for Barca, won't me match sharp, will need time to adjust to Poch methods and team, probably end up playing 2 x 60 mins....then Kane and Alli back and he's sat on the bench for the rest of the season. That's probably why.

The fact that there is a thread for Malcolm that keeps getting updated made me "snigger out loud" (not quite enough for a "LOL" though).

Lamela is good enough injuries has held him back...imo

Lamela started really brightly this season, scoring and creating and not losing possession cheaply. Lately he has reverted back to his first season form where nothing seems to come off really.

I know. But for me he irritates me everytime i see him play. And now when Kane/Alli/Son was away, he needed to show much he could step up. Instead he has been the worst player on the pitch with Trippier.

Still way to slow for me in everything he does.
One footed.
Doesn't create much considering he's playing in a forward position.
Even his work ethic is lower.

But different opinions - which is completely fair.

But let's not - this is the Malcom thread however :)

Lamela creates more, he score more, he has more assist per 90 minutes and has higher take on rate compared to both Alli and Lucas according to Squakwa.

Because he rarely plays - and why is that? Injuries? Nah.

70 minutes into the game last night we had 2 shots on target, does that dictate how the play was at all? Stats is not everything.

Lucas has not been an succes either so far imo.

Lamela is the perfect squad player. A loyal soldier who will never question the manager and gives 110% every time he plays. Invaluable

While I agree in principle you also can't rely on him to stay fit continuously enough to be reliable to step up when needed. I love Lamela. Genuinely do but it's hard to squad plan with someone with such an injury wildcard.

Injury record is absolutely part of the picture when assessing a player. Lamela just can’t be counted on unfortunately, especially if all this noise about HG players is true (wrt transfers).

Is Malcolm an anagram of Lamela? If not then please all fuck off and stop giving us us F5 merchants a glimmer of fucking hope
