Man City trail 1-0 after losing the first leg against us; of the 32 previous occasions of a side losing the first leg of a two-legged Champions League tie 1-0 away from home, 10 went on to progress (31%).

We were eliminated the last we won 1-0 in he first leg of a two-legged European tie at home, being knocked out by Kaiserslautern in the 2nd round of the 1999-2000 UEFA Cup (2-1 on aggregate). We have only won one of our last 8 visits to Man City in all competitions (D1 L6), a 2-1 EPL win in Feb 2016.

The first leg of us vs City saw 8 different English players in the two starting line ups. The last EUFA Champions League game to see more Englishmen start was the 2008 CL final between Manu and Chelsea (10).

In European competition Man City have lost all 5 of their previous matches against fellow English Clubs, including all 3 in the Champions League. They have won 23 of their 25 home matches in all competitions this season (L2), although they have lost two their last three home games in the CL knockout stages, winning the other 7-0 against Schalke in this season’s last 16.

We have won each of our last three CL matches; we have never won four in a row in the competition. Each of our last 10 goals scored in the CL have come in the 2nd half of our matches; indeed, 93% of our goals in the competition this season have been netted in the 2nd half (13/14).

Sergio Aguero scored 10 goals in his first seven appearances against us for Man City in all competitions bust has since failed to score in each of his last 7 games against us; missing a penalty in the first leg of this tie. Leroy Sane has been directly involved in 7 goals in his last 3 home games Champions League.

Wish it was tonight, I can't deal with the waiting. Few heart attack moments expected tomorrow night.

We've got this far through all the adversity- some of it self induced but whatevers happens I am so proud of the way things are going and the team spirit.
.
I'll admit I won't be happy if we lost but that's the way the cookie crumbles- I so want to see this team get CL football again for next year in a two tiered retractable level playing fielded stadium.

No Kane, Aurier, Lamela, Winks or Dier whist they have a virtually fully fit squad to chose from.

Can't wait until we narrowly lose against a team backed by an entire fucking country only to be called legends

Pep has said that the next two games against us, are season defining moments. He also added that if they fail to win these two games, it will mean two competitions lost for them, simple.
He also begged the fans to show him whether they want to get to the semi-final of the CL.
Classless fool that Pep!

Just seen the name of the ref. He is a first class pedantic prat. We won't be getting any favours from him. We certainly haven't in the past.

I'm not too confident about this game (having said that I wasn't about the first game) but regardless of if we don't progress, I will still be a very proud supporter
