Ok so I think it will be a hammering

4-2 to Spurs

I think we are going to have a statement performance that will have everyone kneeling in front of us and well... stuff

Name three.
I would add to the list his dispossession of Stones in the quarter final last season and it's something he has a knack of doing, he must have lightening reflexes as he pounces before they know it. The importance of this is that when City defenders get the ball they immediately look forward beyond our forward line so I am hoping this is a weakness we can exploit and Moura is the man for it.

Yeah, I totally rinsed myself there by asking for 3 moments of Lucas magic, and following the demand up by specifying that they should come from one game, in Holland, didn't I? Did myself up like a kipper, if only I had remembered the Ajax semi-final when making those three posts. :sorry:

Well, this is going to be tough. Maybe its better to play them now early on.
If we turn up, avoid fuck ups and have a bit of luck we can win.

Get a feeling we may surprise them with an unexpected team selection like starting with Lo Celso and Ndombele in midfield

They will be up for it to avenge the CL QF but I think this will play into our hands. A 2-1 Spurs win for me.

Needless to say, we need to bring our A game for this.

Total focus from the off, make City work for it as opposed to gifting them 3 points through nervous sloppy play.

If we turn up and play the way we can, there's no reason to think we can't grab a win.

I can just about handle losing to a team that has well and truly beaten us through their sheer playing excellence.

What really irks me is when we pretty much hand teams a win through poor passing, decision making, general sloppiness etc.

would happily take 1-1, but have a feeling we lose 3-1, defensive fuck up to gift them a lead too.

For me it's a shame that this game is so early in the season when we have key players in Son and Dele who will be unavailable for selection and big signings GLC and Sessegnon who will need time to settle into the side.

Unlike them who could have 4 or 5 key players missing from their first team and they could call upon players on their bench who are at a similar level, we don't have that luxury.

It's a shame because I think it we had all our options available and we played at our highest level, on our day we would be a match for them and could even take the points. For the reasons I have stated I think they will win this, but I don't think we will disgrace ourselves.

It's a shame this game is not being played in 6 or 8 weeks time as I think we'd stand a better chance.

A lot of confidence in here - think a few are underestimating just how good City are.

This is the hardest game we'll play in the league this season. As long as we avoid a thrashing it doesn't make much difference to how we'll develop this season imo.

A point or three would be a huge bonus but I'm not going into it expecting anything.

Hopefully without Trippier playing, we may actually be able to get through 90 minutes without gifting them a goal.

Last season we lost 1 nil at home precisely because of Trippier’s fuck up.

In the away game we played well, but weren’t clinical enough. We do usually match up to City pretty well.

Ndombele dominated the ch lge match at city last season so they will be wary of him. Hope we can get some service to Kane , he is looking sharp.
