can mods not lock posts so no further ratings can be given? Seems a fair compromise thing to do if posible.

We al lose our shit once in a while, some more spectacularly than others :D

I don't see why people need pandering to. If you lose your shit on the internet, the best thing to do is to learn from it and the next time just take a breathe before having a tantrum on a public forum.

It’s ratings on a forum who cares? if anyone’s that affected by them the internet’s really not for them

Should you have been keeping more of an eye on your little brother whilst mummy and daddy were knocking boots?

Mate, I've been on here for 15 years and have spouted all kinds of bollocks in that time. Trust me, just let it go and in a couple of days the thread will be on new pages and nobody will even remember what you've posted. It's only really outrageous posts like a certain poster proclaiming Kane will be "Championship at best" that get remembered.
Or the Tony Pauli’s thread.

Bunch of ****s...

The more I watch us play and read about the players we've been linked to, the more it seems like Mourinho is trying to replicate his famous Inter team from 09/10. It makes sense given the players we currently have. Whether it works in 2020 and in the PL is a different story.

That inter team often played a 4231 morphing into a 4312 (they played others formations depending on opposition but that was their most common set up).

-Fast sweeper keeper: Cesar (Lloris)
-Defensive LB: Zanetti, sometimes Chivu (Davies)
-Aggressive CB: Samuel (Dier)
-Aggressive CB: Lucio (Toby, who is not super aggressive)
-Attacking RB: Maicon (Aurier and linked with Celik, Aarons, Castagne)
-Combative holding midfielder with good passing range: Cambiasso (Hojbjerg)
-Defensive Box-to-box midfielder: Motta, sometimes Muntari (new signing?)
-More attacking Box-to-box midfielder: Stankovic (new signing?)
-Creative player behind the strikers who can pass, dribble and shoot: Sneijder (Lo Celso)
-Wide forward who can run at pace into the box: Etoo (Son)
-Box striker: Milito (Kane)

When Mourinho talks about the missing pieces in the squad to make it more balanced, I think he's specifically talking about strengthening his first 11.

He either goes for:

(A) A new RB, a new holding midfielder, but potentially also two new Box-to-box midfielders. GLC stays in the creator role behind the strikers. Hard to find room for Ndombele in this system hence the rumours of him leaving.

(B) A new RB, a new holding midfielder, Ndombele and Lo Celso as the box to box midfielders though sacrificing some defensive solidity, and a brand new creator hence the links to Brooks.

I hope it's option B, but likely option A. Or, conceivably, all the above is BS and I know f all.

Was Hose/Jose/Zoze hamming it up for the cameras there? Very out of character.

He also played this similar system in chelsea 2013-14 ... Also ndombele can be a very good attacking box to box midfielder and sissoko/brozovic can be defensive box to box midfielder

I know it won't happen but we should get this man as an assistant coach now that he will be out of contract. He was tasked with coaching St Gallen (who almost managed to win the title this year) in attacking play specifically, and their goal output has been night and day under his tutelage.

Personally I pronounce it Mr. "GuaRenTEeD TRoPhiEs"
We all will once we win the Premier League ;)

Tucker, coy, and everyone else who's still spamming me. I promise you, this will work out. He's gonna change the mentality of this side. They're gonna win medals under him. We all loved Poch, but it's time to move on: he's going to take us to the next level. Can't wait for the Amazon doc!

I can't get the image of JM leaping about celebrating a back door europa qualification out of my head.
What did it mean?

OK there will be fans genuinely delighted, as they'll have a chance to travel to obscure parts of outer europe by camel, and will have a great adventure. Good for them.

But he must know that the majority of fans will be underwhelmed to the point of wishing we had missed out altogether. So the dance wasn't for our benefit.

It wouldn't have been for Levy's benefit as Levy knows we have a squad on champ league salaries and his priority will be to get us back into the top 4 and start paying back the loans. He is not going to be that excited about europa.

Is it that JM sees a squad that have won nothing in their collective lives and over praising/celebrating minor achievements is how you change the mind set? Fake it 'til you make it? If this really works, why do arsenal never build on their string of FA cup wins?

Maybe he was just happy about it...?

I see what you have tried to do here but the comparisons are embarrassing !
