1) Levy has changed, and is honestly going to be prepared to do something he's never done before. Spend the big money on the big players with big reps and huge wages.
2) Jose has changed. He's had some sort epiphany, realised there's a different way of doing things, operating withing a much more limited budget. Taking money and being able to do more with it than the competition.
3) There's been some shit chatted in some meetings. Either one of them think option 1 or 2 or even a bit of both is happening. It's not.

Big. More than we've ever spent before. On specific players he'll want. That are well known and therefore very expensive.

Do I think Levy will allow that to happen? No.

But if you look at our targets in the last couple of years they were players like De Ligt, De Jong, Ndombele, Lo Celso and Dybala. Poch was already pushing us to sign those well known players so it's not a new approach. I guess Jose might want some older, more experienced players, so there may have to be a compromise between Levy and Jose at some point. People talk about his massive spending at other clubs, but there's always a Man Utd/ Real Madrid tax on players as they're the richest clubs in the world. It's going to be interesting to see how this works.

I appreciate everything Poch did for us, and it was the best time I have had in my 28 years supporting Spurs, but I think it was time to part ways before it spoilt the memories of Poch.

For the last year we have been pretty poor, and the team at the minute just didn't believe in him anymore, and his tactical choices where poor at best.

Hopefully Mourinho and Levy can work together, but I am excited to see what Calibre of players Mourinho can attract. His name and reputation suddenly opens up another level of resources.

I think this is key. A Pochettino / Howe long term project type appointment would leave the current squad wondering how long it will be until we're challenging. This unequivocally says the club's aim is to challenge immediately.
