"In some periods, I was worried about not having attacking options on the bench; now I don't have attacking options on the pitch."

Haha, another fine mess...

"We are going to miss him. The club wrote a nice statement. If I was the one to write the statement, I would write different."

Seen this a few times today and I absolutely love it. Doesn’t get caught up in the emotion just knows exactly what to do.. think he even switched subbing Lucas off to Bergwijn as he was further away at the time haha

LOL. i noticed that too. The substitute was the right thing to do tactically. The shithousery was in the "how" and not the "what". It was old school shithousery right up there with taking a throw in five yards to far forward, restarting with a rolling ball, etc.

Sonny potentially being out for the rest of the season is terrible news but I don’t think there is any other manager I would prefer in this scenario!

I could be way of the mark but I think his tactical nouse and experience will be invaluable and he will instil a siege mentality within the squad.

I hope I’m not wrong but I genuinely think we still have the players to get us the goals that we will need to continue pushing for the top four. All the attack minded players will have to chip in because I can’t see any single player going on a hot streak like Sonny was on!

I hope that first Premier League win is against Chelsea, imagine how sweet that would be without any strikers! COYS

I must admit I was in the "meh, give him a chance" category, when he was appointed.

I have to say that I am impressed with his demeanour since day 1. He seems very happy to be here, and it looks like he is determined to succeed. No controversy, treating his players well, with good levels of respect. He's also bigging up the fans. I just don't think he's under the same pressure here than he's had at previous clubs. IE he's not expected to win the league from day 1.

He seems, in this current guise, to be really likeable.

I hope he stays the same during his reign

It’s so obvious what he’s up to isn’t it. He’s playing games with the media, the fans and even his own players. We just need to trust in his ability and trust in his experience. The players need to listen to him in private and not in public and the fans need to be clever when listening to what he says. He’s definitely got me believing.

Imagine us going out tonight and winning the game. The confidence everyone will take from that will be massive.

I always felt his appointment was the right move . I was particularly looking forward to his intelligence in-game and that's what we've clearly got . Yes , he seems at his uncontroversial best atm and indeed should be a great asset in the tricky time ahead . Love the all round professionalism .

However , we are all talking in the glow of a load of consecutive wins . A fair number of these could clearly have ended differently and I expect we'd have an alternative perspective if some of them had . Slight Lottery vibe occasionally .

I find his dramatics in the last presser with the 'couldn't be worse' stuff OTT ....but then he's manipulating minds and mebbe some people,
particularly players, will swallow his schtick whole . If it gets team motivation tonite from the off... then hooray !

Anyway overall , pleased ..and these nail biting last minute wins are brilliant entertainment (y)

His press conferences are always designed to take the pressure and focus away from players. Not sure if it works or not. Most of his ex-players say they'd have run through brick walls for him.

Think we need to start singing his name soon In the stadium. Has totally Earns the love and respect of Tottenham fans like me. Taking the pressure off the players will make them play even more for him.

Regardless of what happens for the rest of the season...

I am so excited to see how we perform with a full pre season with Jose and Kane and Son both in the same team as well as Ndombele. Next season will be exciting. Especially if he addresses the few positions we need strengthening in the summer.

I think Jose is right - We need to back the players and the coaching team BIG on match days - make as much noise as possible. The players do deserve it to be fair, they've worked their balls off since Jose came in that's for sure. And Jose, so far, has said and done all the right things.

Jose is absolutely box office as a head coach, and he's been on top form so far.

Found this. This is the perfect song for him:

Jose is a Yid, Jose is a yYd.
Don’t tell United, Inter, Madrid.
Now he hates the Chelsea scum ‘cos Jose is a Yid. Jose is a Yid.1.2.3.4”
