Fuck off back to Chelsea. What a fucking disaster he is. There is simply no way that a Pochettino side with their pressing fails to win that game, ESPECIALLY in extra time with Norwich half dead. That's an absolute disgrace.

the annoying thing is we pressed them more when we beat them luckily in the league, which forced mistakes

Jose has already said this squad doesn't need an overhaul and that would be the only thing I think he is right about, squad needs some freshening up, but more than anything else needs a manager with some passion.

Jose only stays two yearsish in any job before he either falls out with those around him or gets found out.

As plenty have said, Levy is not stupid, so can't see him giving any significant funds to this chancer. Never wanted him as manager, have said previously that I thought it was a wind when I heard he was favorite to replace Poch.

And with regard to things being bad under Poch, how does that in some way make any sort of allowances for the shocking displays we've seen under Jose, two wrongs don't make a right for christs sake.

Wondering what will happen next, we'll likely experiment with another random formation against Burnley, followed by something completely different against Leipzig, sorry but if the players are playing a different style with different personal week in week out, they will play shite and that is 100% the fault of the manager.

how much we paying this guy per year?

I won't blame him for anything this year but gotta admit, I haven't seen anything to suggest he can take us forward

You know you can reply to posts without being quite so aggressive about it all?
Maybe but I keep seeing the same thing typed over and over yet we were clearly the better team in the first half but you wouldn't know it.

Christ he's implying that he's going to rest players against Burnley for the CL match. I'd rather it was the other way round tbh, we're going to get fucked every which way away to Liepzig, the only thing I'm clinging to now is an upturn in league performances. Or an upturn in league *results* anyway.

Yep, another one forgetting about how Klopps reign started at Liverpool. 3 and a half years of rebuild it took for them to come good.

People are expecting miracles in two seconds. It just doesn’t happen.
I don't want a miracle. I want to finish 5th, the illustrious position managed by the likes of Jol inheriting a real shitshow, AVB and Tactics Tim. I was us not to lose 4 matches in a row. I want us to beat the worst team in the Premier League. I want us to at least turn up in games like at home to Chelsea and give it a go. I want us to try and play attractive football. I want us to try and score before the game's gone to shit in the 80th minute. None of that would be miraculous - it's the minimum with the talent he has available.

What were you watching? We nicked a goal off a set piece, and then set up shop against the worst team in the league at home. Came alive when it was too late and still looked hopeless.

Im sorry - this isn’t going to change. This is how he plays. And it will take a long time, and a lot of money, before we ever start to resemble something he can work with.

It won’t happen.
Lo Celso and Lucas both missed sitters in the first half.

I worry it's going to turn toxic.

It's not even so much the defeats, but it's the manner of them, it's the way we are outplayed by teams with worse teams than us. It's the sitting back and defending against Norwich at home in the FA Cup. It's just not Tottenham.

There's so little to enjoy about our football.

I was willing to stand by Pochittno 100%.

As bad as it is being dominated by Norwich and getting knocked out of the FA Cup... losing again at our spanking new stadium.

Mourinho should be backed 100% imo Levy has to stand by his man. Mourinho is a great manager but will need the right tools.

Bit of perspective. The coaches that we have employed from Lille took a while to implement their plan when they were at Lille, they bought in the correct players to execute that plan, so shall we give them a bit of time.

I understand people hate Mourinho, but if he goes, the back room staff go with him.

There is some irony in you complaining about people posting the same response again and again don't you think?

Anyway, I get it - some buy the reasoning that it's not his fault - it's Poch, it's old players, it's Levy, it's the weather, it's individual mistakes and on and on.

I think they are all relevant reasons for us being below our best but I still think we should be playing better than we are at the moment and that sits with the manager - it's why they get the push and players don't - it goes with the large wage packet and hefty pay off.

The same Levy who handed Jose a 15 million a year contract? I get it, people genuinely believe the Levy hype. Stop kidding yourselves, he is only human and makes many mistakes. Jose is one of those mistakes.

We are literally two points off 5th. The hyperbole in here is crazy tonight. It’s like the match thread has infected every other thread.

Popular opinion seems to be that José only wins trophies when he has loads of money to spend. So we should give him no money to spend. #spursy

We had Kane , son and sissoko away to man Utd, home to Chelsea, away to Norwich, home to Brighton and we were terrible and out played....the warning signs were there at those games, the injuries are a convenient excuse ..lo celso us our only true class player and he won't stay around much longer with this style of footbal

This is what worries me the most and I've said the same thing. Only thing I will say is that with the way Poch had us playing, I could literally see us losing every game and as shit as we were still playing under Jose, he was still somehow picking up points.

I'm not sure Jose is the man to turn us into the right direction but I still think we have to back him, give him time and find out. If there are more performances like these and matches prior to th though with Kane and Son back as well as additional players in the summer he won't last long next season at all.
