The faith will be lost if he makes that mistake again.
Whatever happened to giving a manager a bit of patience? A couple of games these days and people are being judgmental. Of course, if he makes a mistake he deserves criticism but I seriously know that people will be talking about who our next manager will be if we have two or three bad results.

Yeah, so hoofing the ball over midfield has its limitations. We will never be a decent team until we get the midfield sorted, and a sorted midfield cannot contain Sissoko in anything other than a RW role. That's were he has to play if we need him babysitting Aurier.

Poor game from both sides but they were always going to be up for it against us now we have Mourinho.

Anyway, better going into that game with 3 wins as now we can move on.

We lost to a well organised and well up for it Utd, Jesus even Fred had a good game!

That being said, we were woeful going forward. It almost seemed as though the thought process was "well going long has worked wonders last 2 games, let's just keep doing that."

I think Mourinho got this one wrong tonight with starting Winks and Sissoko together, not sussing early enough that Utd were set up to nullify the long pass and allowing the midfield overload to go on for too long. It allowed Fred and McTominay to grow into the game and left them in their comfort zone for too long.

It's easy with hindsight, but the first half was showing me that they had far too much time and space in the middle. The press was disjointed and, with that whole in the middle, allowed them too many options when bringing it out from the back.

For me, Mourinho got this one wrong. I don't think it was a lack of application, I just think our setup was wrong from the start and it took far too long to adjust it. When Eriksen came on, suddenly Son was seeing a lot more of the ball in areas where he can do damage, but too little too late tonight.

Chalk that one off as a bad day at the office for Mourinho really.

Wow we win 3 on the bounce and after what was admittedly a poor performance people are already questioning Jose and whether he's going to become the ManU grumpy fuck. I know things have been shite for a while but some people need to get a fucking grip. He's a very good manager but he isn't turning us into Liverpool in 2 weeks ffs.

Lost the game in the middle. Not a game for the double pivot (even though I had that in my pre game line-up but what do I know). Winks and sissoko seemed to run away from the ball. So much space between defence and attack. Son/Alli/moura needed to drop deeper to create angles but they just hung around up top. Surprised we didn’t see a reaction like olympiacos. Get another body in there like Ndombele and Lo Celso. Such a shame. We gifted it to them with some piss poor defending and poor goalkeeping. Bad day.

If ever there was a diagram that summed up our lack of midfield today it’s this one.

Exactly the same sort of shit under Poch with players ending up on top of other players.

This squad has fallen off the face of a cliff.

Utter rubbish, 5 or 6 of those players looked uninterested again tonight and it was Mourinhos third league game, that's shocking. Players being ****s, who'd have thought it?

Such a shame that Dele's goal will be forgotten and overlooked, because we were so off it from minute one. Gazzaniga should never be beaten at his near post like that, so poor. Had hoped going in to half time 1-1 would give us the momentum second half. Obviously Sissoko didn't like the thought of that, did he? For a front four and a side who scored 10 in the previous three, we looked incredibly blunt.

Still don't think United are all that and will continue to falter under Ole.

We go again on Saturday and we better blitz Burnley while keeping a clean sheet.

What was up with Kane also, because that was a frankly miserable effort. Too many of these matches when we're under the cosh where he just tamely trots around the pitch.

That was actually a crap game of football to watch. The standard from both sides was horrific. My eyes started to bleed in the second half.

Different thread maybe but surely var should be there to rule out the pens that are not really pens.

I can see why the ref gave it in real time. On 2nd view I can't see why it's not being spoken about as such a soft pen and potentially not really a pen.

Rashford was great and his pass made space for others, our forward line didn't do this

It was so clumsy from Sissoko, regardless of how much contact was made, that we deserved it to be called as a pen.

Between Sissoko, Aurier and Sanchez we have about half the footballing brain of Noe Pamarot.

List of players who aren’t good enough at all
Aurier
Eriksen

Players who are, at best, squad players
Sissoko
Winks
Davies
Moura
Rose
Gazza

That’s a worrying amount of players who shouldn’t be in a Spurs first XI

Forget Sanchez, Moura, Aurier, Moura- they arent the problem. Its the midfield.

The midfield was terrible. Its been terrible for a while. The answers are sitting right there on the bench its driving me fucking MENTAL.

I would be surprised if he didn’t make some changes for the next game. A lot of players were bad tonight but Son, Kane and Moura were completely ineffective as a front three. Part down to them but the midfield is incapable of creating or stretching the other teams defence. Ndombele is a starter for me going forward as he is the one player who can make things happen.
