He's consistently impressed me for a number of years, and is only now, at 25, starting to hit his peak.

He may not be as 'fashionable' a player as some, but would it be such a daft idea to try and get him in? Transfermarkt have him at the laughable value of £1.05m, which although clearly nonsense, gives some indication of how cheaply he could be picked up.

Yeah, not a player to revolutionise our side, but a very handy squad addition I think.

Squad additions are what we should be avoiding.

Pritchard has more potential and is probably not far off already being better than him. No disrespect to Leicester but if was the level we need for our squad he would have gone to someone like Southampton/Everton/Liverpool instead.

There are two very decent wingers at Leicester that may be good enough for Spurs. Albrighton isn't one of them. And he looks like Jonjo Shelvey trying out a wig.

This must be an indication of how far we have regressed. We need to set our sights higher, and if we can't then we should play one of our youth prospects- in this case someone like Pritchard (though different in style and position to Albrighton).

I only watch Spurs regularly, other teams I only see on MOTD but we've seen a few really good players lose form at Spurs over the years. Some due to injuries, others from not putting 100% in on the pitch, for whatever reason.

A few years ago Albrighton looked like a good prospect and I was surprised when he struggled to make the Villa first 11. But there you are, why couldn't he get a place in a really bad Villa side?

I think he'd have got more of a look in with Sherwood in charge.
