Make him captain Mauricio, you know it makes sense son.

Can see that happening.....and personally think hes a great keeper and saved us a lot of times last season.
Of course being a sweeper keeper ....sometimes there might be the odd mistake and every player makes them but ,I think hes a great keeper....handles crosses well, can catch a ball ....reads the game well ....hence his sweeper actions.
We just need to but a better defence in front of him now ....OR one that works as a unit and know their roles.

“This is very good news for Tottenham Hotspur, for us and his team-mates”.

Interesting that Pooch identifies 3 separate groups, his group of coaches presumably being the 'we'. And Tottenham Hotspur surely being the owners/DoF.

He is putting up or at the very least reinforcing boundaries.
Just an observation - and not necessarily a negative one.
After all Redknapp, our most successful manager in recent years, only rarely used the badge kissing 'we' word.

But he does neglect to mention the 4th group - the fans.
Which is unusual for a PR release.
Again not necessarily bad, but his focus this season perhaps will be on getting the team playing exactly as he wants. He is not going to be creeping around us to any extent, which is a bold stance.

Oh and obviously it is good news that Lloris seems to want to stay another season.

Mainly agreeable, just think he needs to work on his distribution. Not necessarily the range of his passes , but more the decision making aspect of it.

I think you might be reading a bit too much into his words, to me it just sounded like the sort of thing a guy speaking in his second language might say.

He is less likely to use the usual clichés with an unfamiliar language, so we might get closer to what he is actually thinking.
Or maybe not.

Or perhaps he just sees the fans as Tottenham Hotspur?
