As I said the current situation isnt all on Poch. But it looks to me like players just arent responding to anything he says or tries. In a way he'd lost the dressing room.
I've seen lots of managers at lots of clubs bigger than ours, and managers bigger than Poch, unable to turn that around. And it was Poch who continued to play Eriksen, Rose, Aurier, Toby, Verts etc (love to know what that Vert issue at start of season was really about).
Hopefully a new face, voice and fresh ideas will give us the kick up the arse we desperately need.
You cant compare him shifting Adebayor early on to now. We've been woeful for almost a year.
Im sorry to see him go and probably more so when i see who we bring in but this was going nowhere imo and something had to be done.
Even without Eriksen, Rose, Toby etc. With the players we have, we should be getting top 4, we should not be anywhere near the position we are in. A good manager should get the team playing again. I hate players not trying (especially with their privileged lifestyles), but it may be we needed to freshen up the management.

Dear Mauricio
You gave your heart and soul to this football club. I have supported Spurs for over fifty years and am ashamed to be a Spurs supporter tonight. Thank you for the miracles you performed with no money. You will be a great manager, just somewhere else. It’s a sad day for this great club when the money men take over from the people who know and love football. As Keith Burkinshaw once said “There used to be a football club there”. You won’t be forgotten. Thanks for the memories.

"There used to be an away win over there"

Serious question - when was the last time you "love(d) football" that we were playing in the league?

IMO Poch lost it in Dec 2018 when he refused to rule himself out of the running for the Man Utd role. After that our form dipped and never recovered. I think Levy and the team saw a different Poch at that time, perhaps someone who was no longer 100% committed and looking to exit. Combined with the I'll quit if we win the CL statement which was a big distraction and must have had an impact on the players, was completely unnecessary.

It is a sad day, Poch put us back towards the top, CL final, prestige and gave us identity, hope and joy. It has been amazing to watch the team at times. Hopefully we get someone in who can carry it on. Good luck Poch.

You joke, but any interim manager would be well advised to consult frequently with Kane.
If Kane wants an uninterested Eriksen in the side, then that's what will happen.
If he wants Vertonghen out the squad, say, then it happens.
Until the club appoints someone permanently, then to a large extent Kane will be the player manager regardless.
Very good point.

Eddie has come in from 18 to 5/1 2nd favourite in the last hour.
Jose was 1/3 now 1/2

Obviously a response to betting trends but still interesting movement

Howe has done a great job with his resources as well as having some good performances and looks suited to our setup. Nothing like the clueless Southgate and I'd not be disappointed with him if that's what we do.
I wondered if Levy has even considered the coach whos team beat us 7 2 and has recently become available.

Ybest manager we have had in a long long time and genuine human being very sad but we have to move forward and for a while something hasn’t been right, however I think he had enough credit in the bank to be given a little longer to turn it round, don’t want Mourinho

Please God, not Mourinho, all our talented youngsters will leave, and we will play that drab, boring style of football he had united doing before they sacked him. Poch should have been given more time, after what he had achieved on such a tiny spend, the guy worked miracles.

Leave? Really? Having a world class manager, won every trophy you can name. Odd.

Hardly surprising after some recent results, 2-7 home defeat would have meant instant dismissal at the likes of Real , Juve etc.

Who steps in for the short term with all his fellow coaches gone ?
Thats what i thought it could be interesting, couple of days, i have a feeling theres a pre agreement in place for Howe? Only my opinion..... hope it isnt tho ?

Pochettino, a disgrace, just like contract rebels Eriksen , Rose.

As they say, the rot starts from the top.

I thought we found the next Sir Alex, but he's a false messiah.

We did, but unfortunately Sir Alex has been in his ear for quite some time. As soon as he was realistically in for the united job he lost enthusiasm for us.

Half understandable, as he surely knew he couldn't leave us if he kept winning. Not to say it was intentional this whole time, but some ITKs have hinted as much.

Bet he'll end up at United when they run out of patience with Solskjaer.

I can't really believe this. I guess now we wait for the next flavor of the year coach to come in and ......I don't even care right now.
