I really want Aarons, but having him as first choice next season would be concerning. He’s 19 and never played a minute of Prem football let alone CL.
Yes, but in 12 months’ time he’ll be 20, have 1000s of minutes of Prem football under his belt for the best club in the land, and be a double-winner. Potentially. If we buy him now.

Palace linked with a £10m bid in The Mirror, if true that's a bit fresh considering how pissy they've been about Arsenal lowballing.
It is the game...
Buying club: Ask for a player
Selling club: Ask for a large amount
Buying club: Bid well below that amount
Selling club: Be publically "appalled" at the bid
Rinse and repeat.

It's why when people on here start throwing tantrums when stories about Levy bidding 40m euros for NDombele or Lo Celso I roll my eyes.

Hopefully Palace do all the hard work, get a fee set and then we swoop in and nick the player. If we want him of course.

Playing for Norwich having just won promotion to the Premier league I can understand why a player like him may think twice about leaving preferring to spend the season where he is and gain lots of premiership experience. On the other hand I can understand the temptation of an offer from a big club but what I cannot even begin to get my head around is why the hell he would even consider a sideways step like Palace.

Palace have been in the Premier League for 7 seasons straight now and are rather unlikely to go down this season. Norwich are going to be in a relegation battle all season, which isn't an ideal scenario for a young attacking full back to show his skillset in his first season in the toughest league in the world. Moving from Norwich to Palace is a big, safe step up under one of the most experienced managers in football.

Re: the Goats bleat, makes sense re-upping Aarons. They did the same with Godfrey and I think there were links to him as well.

Probably a case of revisiting this (maybe) after the end of the season. If he has a good one, plenty of interest I am quite sure.

If they wait a season and he does well, then they can point to the AWB fee, especially if they stay up. Sessegnon situation does suggest that there's no guarantee a price will go up however.

I have nowhere else to put this but my mate made an interesting point to me the other day that Atal is still at the Afcon (Algeria play Guinea on sunday) so maybe that's why we aren't hearing much about RB's at the moment if he was our target, wildly optimistic mind you.

I think they are close to a big takeover. That might make this one a bit difficult.

Why on earth would a young right-back look at what we've done with KWP and think moving to Tottenham was a good idea? Poch likes his defences as stable and consistent as possible, it would not be an easy position at all to break through in. If I was in his shoes and not a Spurs fan I'd 100% stay at Norwich.

Do we have room for any more non HG players. If we get LoCelso and Ceballos in were probably fully stocked, even if Llorente moves on. We've lost Dembele, but Foyth took his place and Ndombele gets Vorm's spot. I think we might have to stick with Aurier, Foyth and KWP which ain't great unless we can land a HG (Matt Doherty would be my choice in that case).

I imagine even if we're stuck with him we'd be content not to register Janssen if needs be.

Does Foyth count as HG now he's entering his 3rd season with us? I might be making up a rule there but yeah, I reckon a few more will leave though. Can't see both Dier and Wanyama staying.

We have one free space atm and GLC/Ceballos would not be signing without dier/Wanyama/Eriksen/ lamela departing. Non of which are HG.

Would not be surprised in the slightest, if he ended up signing an extension. The last 2 Championship players we had interest in ended up doing the same and I think it was the right choice for their career. Personally, I am praying we go after Atal easily best RB available and the potential on him is out of this world. There are only maybe 3 or 4 better dribblers in the world.

Can't see we'd have any room for Janssen the way things are panning out. What I'm saying is that I think we'll probably have to fing HG replacements for Llorente, Janssen and RB.

I'm not expected a direct Janssen replacement, so we could use that slot for a RB.
