Even if he fails to hit the heights we'd want him to after signing, we could still sell him for the same price we'd need to pay for him now. That's the benefit of buying young, home-grown players (particularly those nearing the end of their contracts).Agree.
Or he could be another Clyne or Callum Chambers.
I dont think we should pay out of our boots for him. 30m seems a lot for a player who haven’t shown THAT much - yet.
If the £30m valuation is true, it's a pretty low risk signing in all honesty.
