Serious question for this that have watched Aarons regularly over 90 mins. Is he that much better than KWP? Or has he just benefitted from playing a lot more first team football? From what I have seen which is only a few full games he (Aarons that is) looks decent, has a bit a pace and dribbling ability. However like KWP seems far from the finished article which u would expect at his age. KWP seems to be getting a bit more confidence now he has started to play a bit more.

I do hope the team at spurs lodge are watching KWP.

They’d have seen him lose a header to David Silva today. Pretty impressive achievement.

Also lost Jesus at the back post but was lucky he skewed what could have been a tap in.

Looked ok, but still worrisome in defense.

He was very good all round this evening.

He got muscled off the ball by De Bruyne but that was the height of it.

Was much better looking than ok tonight lol

Norwich vs Brighton showed the level of Aarons - below average.
Opposite RB Lamptey won the man of the match, while Aarons made 2 defensive mistakes in the build of the 2 goals conceded.

If we buy Aarons after a season full of such mistakes, I would never forgive our scouting teams. There are so many full backs in market - I hope we dont settle on a defensively error prone player

The match was ended at 1-0 if i am not wrong ... How did norwich conceded two goals?

Unless a player is a perfect 10/10 it amazes me how many of our fans would rather pick faults in a performance rather than praise what a player did well.

KWP was outstanding tonight against one of the best attacking teams in Europe.

The thing that Aarons has that Walker-Peters doesn't is pace. You can't coach that and I think KWP's major weakness is his lack of speed and strength. He's not slow, but unlike say Kyle Walker, doesn't have the strength or recovery pace to get himself out of trouble.

That said, I'm glad KWP is getting to play for a manager like Hasenhuttl and improve his game. I don't think he'll ever be a top full back for the aforementioned reasons, but he definitely has the ability to be a solid Premier League player.

I think that's a fair assessment. I'd say he is similar in many ways to Trippier who did well thanks to his technique and delivery.

How fussy are we in a position to be though ? Serious question.

Agree. Trippier was a fantastic RWB, mainly due to the quality of his crossing and passing. At RB, his defensive frailties were exposed.
KWP is also a good overlapping RWB, but also gets exposed by physical opponents. He’s a PL right back. He’s not a CL right back, which is what we need

If we think bringing back KWP to solve our RB issues is the answer then we’re fucked. The guy is a lower to mid table PL level at best. Some people just look at him through Spurs tinted glasses because he’s “one of our own”

Aarons & Sessegnon would have been a no brainer backup pairing if we had fullbacks like prime Walker & Rose. The issue is we need players that day 1 can step in and be starters. We know Sessegnon isn't capable of that now, with Aarons I guess we'll find out.

Aarons is also not capable of playing like prime Walker. Aarons is basically 20 years old Walker. Would 20 years old walker perform at the level we want now?

Nope, but I'd still take a punt on the kid if we think he has the talent to be a starting fullback.

Im one of those

Bit I’m not convinced on Aarons. Watching him against Watford and his crossing today is even worse than Auriers

These Norwich defenders are the best ball-playing non-defenders in the PL.
Lewis is the only one who shows anything positive.
Just then- Aarons 1v1 against Masina, with space to create an opening. Dithers then turns out.
Not for me Jeff
