Haven’t we got someone on here who’s fairly ITK with Max Aarons directly? Close to a family member or to a close friend of Max or something?

Could just be a figment of my imagination but it not, would be interesting if he/she has any info on this.
Isnt he a big Chelsea fan? So he will probably mug us off at the last second anyway

Really dislike all this dismissal of a player based on his height. If you're good enough, you're big enough. If England had adopted this mantra 20-30 years ago, we'd probably have had more international success.

Yes, there are exceptions. No one wants Aaron Lennon as their goalkeeper, but more or less any other position on the pitch aside from perhaps centre back, you can still be small and succeed. Yes, it may be a disadvantage when defending crosses or set pieces for example, but look at Lucas who is great in the air despite his size. There are also advantages to having a low centre of gravity too.

I don't know if Max Aarons is going to be a world beater, but I wouldn't dismiss him because he's short. I would say his pace is the most important attribute that we're missing from our defence at the moment in any case.

Messi is 5'7" he isn't too baf

Yep, I think when they got promoted and he was interviewed after the game that secured promotion he said he’d couldn’t wait to play at stamford bridge as he was a huge chelsea fan

I have gone back and forth on Aarons quite a lot but I think I’d steer clear. I’m not convinced he’s any better than KWP.

He makes a hell of a lot of defensive mistakes and just hasn’t shown enough.

He is still pretty young but he’s no better at 20 than KWP was really, in fact I’d say certain areas of KWP’s game were stronger.

I guess the biggest difference is that Aarons has now played a full season in the Prem (something KWP hasn't managed) and he did it for a team that pretty much discarded any defensive duties. So, with the right coaching and tactics he could be brilliant for us.

Chelsea don’t need him. Their club captain is a RB and James, a highly promising and talented full back has also broken through this season.

And they sold Brighton another great RB. They're stacked and not in the market for a RB

Is he any better than KWP who is playing well at Southampton at the moment?

Cantwell is a better prospect in my opinion.

If any RB out there reminds me of Walker, it’s Bogle at Derby. Seems a big lad, really talented, skilful, and bags of pace. If we’re going to upgrade our fullbacks, getting Castagne and Bogle would be a very good way to do it.

I'd prefer Bogle too but I imagine the lack of PL experience may put those at the club off.

I watched last 3 Derby games and Bogle wasn't standout there, although it was 3 tough fixtures for them and played against Benrahma.
Aarons was in last season EFL team of the season over him, and I think Bogle in this Norwich team wouldn't be any better.

You could be right, I guess I just like his attributes. Think he has potential to be better

I like Aarons, much quicker than KWP or Aurier, he would give us some nice width and speed again. Would rather have Bogle but Aarons would be good too.
