There are some reports a few hours ago saying Valencia have agreed cash plus players....(Marca, HITC) who knows?

All it says is they haven't even convinced the player to go to them yet and they are set to stage a 40m offer, which makes no sense unless another club has bid 30 plus.

Nice to think that with everything agreed the player still won't commit because he's hoping to come to Spurs. I really don't know anything about him but Tim Vickory on the radio a while back reckons he is a bit of a beast and made for the Premier league.

Rumour is that he's going to sign for West Ham as they will pay the 50m clause, forcing Valencia to pull out. Mad. Hope he likes it there, if he does well he'll struggle to get out!

Probably but then his choice is no longer between West Ham and Valencia it is between West Ham aand Celta Vigo so he may choose West Ham and earn more money.

He sets himself up better for a big move by staying at Celta for another year. Moving to WH would be a move sideways footballing-wise.

To be honest, you can't really begrudge footballers who have a short career in a really volatile industry to take the 'bird in hand' approach.
He's probably going to quadruple his wages playing for West Ham, which could help support his family (including extended family).
That said, he should probably put a release clause into his contract.

Normally I would agree. But this is the shitshow that is West Ham. Just look at last couple of years and how they have handled their affairs.
