Think it's more thought of the other way, can only have 17 non home grown as if came to it you can register some youth player just to make numbers. Or Obika.

No, we can have a maximum of 17 non HG players, which means we can have an additionall 8 HG but we could also just have a squad 17 non HG players with 0 HG if we liked.

I'm not his biggest fan but it was an interesting article. It's hard for the stats to show the article's point accurately though, because the Eredivisie is such an easy league for attackers to play in.

With The Goat's disheartening update we need something else. JJ said that he expects others and I think Depay could be one, I certainly hope so. Of course it doesn't solve CB but LWF is also a problem. Other than Gareth I've never really seen a good.goalscorer from wide positions at Tottenham and I think Depay would get a few!

It's one of my last hopes. I would be ecstatic if we ended up with Depay, Clasie (as replacement to Schneiderlin) and a decent CB.

From most ITK it doesn't seem like money is an issue, i dont think it was ever going to be a case of ether or... but one can only hope that we manage to bring in one high caliber player, or at least one with the potential to be, this window.

Southampton hardballing over Schneiderlin suggests they may do the same thing with Jay Rodriguez and Jay Rod seems considerably less desperate to leave. I've never been a fan of managers raiding their old teams for players (they tend to overestimate them) and with Griezmann gone and Konoplyanka seemingly not on our radar then Depay is the one quality option available.
I think he'd be a serious upgrade on Lennon or Chadli and with Townsend as a back up ( + Eriksen & Pritchard) i'd be happy to see Aaron and Nacer move on. I think we should pull the trigger on this one.

Whether its Depay or another target we need to move now, most of the 'big boys' have spent their cash and we need to be first in on the left overs.
