I cant see Schar going for so little, anywhere near £10m and we should be all over it.
I've posted this a couple times (more detailed), but basically Basel are terrible at getting money for their talents. Consistently sell for much less than they could get. Schar would be 10m at the very max.

Depay is not going to be cheap after signing a new 4 year contract last week!
Yeah, we had a chance but i guess we decided not to, probably cost £20+ mil now. Schar would still be cheep i would guess but we don't really need anymore central defenders unless we get shot of Kaboul. Not going for Depay was really a bad move in my mind, can't help but feel this will turn into another Isco next summer, ie had a chance to sign him, didn't take it, now out of our league.

He needs Van Gaal - £20m Spurs, United target criticised by Dutch hero

PSV winger Memphis Depay, a reported transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur and Manchster United, has been criticised by former Dutch international Willem van Hanegem.

Former Dutch international midfielder Willem van Hanegem has publicly criticised PSV winger Memphis Depay.

The 20-year-old star was part of the Netherlands World Cup squad in Brazil, blossoming as an impact substitute under Louis van Gaal.

Linked strongly with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window, the winger remained at PSV and signed a new contract with his side.

Van Hanegem, capped more than 50 times by Hollands in the 1970s is quoted in the Dutch press criticising his on-pitch attitude, arguing Depay's standards have slipped since the World Cup.

"I keep seeing him lying on the floor, whining to the referee, looking bewildered and stuff.

"This is because Van Gaal is away from him. Then you have to watch that laziness strikes."

"Louis was during the course of the World Cup, very short with him. In Brazil Depay played some nice games, but not even really special though."

The view is his own and his prerogative, but Depay's five goals in four starts in the Eredivisie this season suggest Van Hanegem is nit-picking a little.

To suggest he has made it of course is premature, and he was an unused substitute during Holland's friendly loss to Italy last week.

If he can take Van Hanegem's comments on board, and not as an attack, and use them constructively then he will be able to go some way to becoming an even more complete player.
