The main problem with Dean is not just the big decisions he and his team get wrong it's how he influences the game. As mentioned before he did not referee situations the same for both sides.

Burnley forwards back in, wrestle, nudge, jump into our defenders, he plays on. The other way, free kick to Burnley, every time. The snide little pushes and nudges and kicks which go unpunished and affected how we play. Yes it's up to us to get past that which is easier if it's equal to both sides, but it wasn't.

As for not taking throws from the right place they had one that went out on the corner flag. In front of the lino they took fully 10 yards and did so on every throw.

Didn't play well but Dean is an extra handicap we didn't need.

The hypocrisy from them about Rose’s throw in was ridiculous. They are the new Stoke, proper shit house team then cry about anything the opposition do.

It was quite funny. They booed Rose for nearly a whole half for staying down after getting clattered yet when their player went down they booed because we didn't kick the ball out.

Great joke man, probably wouldn’t add it to your tight five though

I'll pretend this line hurt me to make you feel better.

Maybe you should start one of these for spurs like our neighbours did....

I don’t think Dean is anti Spurs, I just think he’s an awful referee who loves the spotlight being on him, which is always going to work against a side who try to play football.

He’s the modern day Paul Durkin (for those of you who were football fans in the 90s).

i agree completely with this, the first time I seen Woods on Aurier you can see he just took out the player and never going for the ball,
when Llorente came on Dean give a free for any high ball he went for.
I have no problem with a physical game but have the same rules for each team and more that a few didn't go our way.
but yes overall the end result was from our own making.

That throw, ffs, was not even questionable. How many times we saw that happening. 5m. Just 3 strides and we are about there. It's so common in throws a few strides are taken forward. Those who are harping on this IMHO are plain ridiculous.

Even after numerous replays it wasn’t clear who the ball came off. The linesman had a split second to make a decision. You shouldn’t forget we also scored from a throw in that was taken nowhere near where the ball actually went out.

Have you ever in the history of football seen a throw in taken from the exact place it went out? lol of course you haven't. It's the same with free kicks - hardly ever taken from the right place either. Also i'd ask, if it was unclear after seeing multiple replays if it's a throw in or a corner - should the officials not be giving a goal kick?

A little off topic. As far as I’m aware the rule is now that a goalkeeper can’t put the ball on the ground and then pick it up. If I’m wrong I’m sure someone will correct me. However during the game yesterday Heaton accidentally dropped the ball and then picked it up. Should a free kick have been given to us?

If the corner was such a tricky call then how come Poch saw it so clearly that he was able to get so angry?

I didn't see the match or the highlights so trying to piece this together from comments.

I wouldn't worry too much, plenty out there declaring Poch dropped a ball also. (y)

Poch has never reacted like that, so you know something was said to seriously upset him. No idea what it was, I'm sure we'll find out in the coming days.

I do want to say though, that you can have a go at the referee and the players for bad performances respectively. Both Dean, and ourselves for the majority, were shocking.

VAR would have ruled their goal out when it checks the initial corner decision. Would it do the same for ours? Doubtful, because in every game 90% of players steal yards. Even in the first half a Burnley player wanted a corner when it CLEARLY went off for a throw. Used to respect and like Burnley for their old fashioned way they go about it, but last couple of games, yesterday especially, they tried their best to cheat as much as they could.

We were terrible ourselves too though, so got what we deserved in the end.
