The Balewatch thread is going to be pretty dry.. For some time I presume :(. Poor Bale.

On the other hand, Modders has been putting in sublime shift after sublime shift this season and is now in my opinion the second name of the team sheet. Isco is good, but not as well-rounded as Modders (yet).

Watching our ex-midfield maestro play gives me goosebumps and makes me realise how much better we could be with him :(. Ericksen and Holtby are not in the same league :(.

He's playing much further up than he did for us isn't he?

Agreed, he is really coming into his own with them now and old whatsisface is going to have a hell of a job getting back in when he's back from injury i reckon

Quick, someone start up a Berbatov Watch thread!
I don;t get your sarcasm really. Modric's performances this season have been scintillating and given he's gone from "worst signing in La Liga" last season to one of the top players this season is worth talking about.

Indeed, in fact I couldn't agree more. That is why his performances are and have been discussed in the La Liga thread 2013/14, along with many of his La Liga co players.

He's that good and dear to our hearts (clearly not yours) I thought he warranted a little personal thread.

But maybe it's gonna take up too much storage space on SC servers??

Is he?

Also you're saying Eriksen* and Holtby aren't in the same league - but they're at least 5 years younger.. what do you expect? Gonna go out on a limb and say Eriksen is probably better now than Modric was at his age.

There is no problem having a thread keeping an eye on ex players.

Get some videos up too. I'd love to keep an eye on modders. He was great for us :)

He's a fantastic little player but I do not miss him. We've moved on as a team now and we can't just worry about what we've lost. We may as well worry about all the other players like Carrick and Berbatov if we're going to be like this with Modders and Bale.

As for Holtby and Eriksen. Maybe not so much the Holtby but Eriksen is better than Modric was at his age, IMO. I'm not saying he will be better, I just think he's more developed for his young age which is why he's already seen as a key player for our squad. They're different players anyway, Modric sits a lot deeper than those two and orchestrates from the back.

One of my most favourite ever Spurs players and one of the very best we have ever had. But he has gone now so like the Bale thread I won't be checking in in the near future

We lost a year out of Modders when he was consistently left floundering out on the flanks.

Easily my favourite spurs player of recent years. Quality player and was always destined for the top. Shame he had to be such a knob about leaving though.

I'm torn, on one side I want ex players to do well in a "awww he used to play for us, hasn't he done well" kind od way but there's another part that wants them all to fail miserably so our top players who are still at the club can see that the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence and they should stay at Spurs where they're loved and can help us achieve greatness together...
