Any of you watch the MOTD best premier league managers? It was on last night. Just watch it for Ian Wrights story about rollerblading! Absolutely killed me!!

He is a top bloke.

Wright was on top form last night as well, in particular loved his punch and run story about Steve Bruce but there was a few Other good ones as well.

Yeah I did t like Wright as a player but I've grown to like him over the past few years. He's been great value on the top 10 podcast thing they've been doing. To be honest without him on there it would've been fairly dull but he manages to even bring stone faced Shearer out of his shell a bit and make the whole thing a more fun. He had me in tears with a couple of his stories this week.

Just watching the latest Top 10 and they are talking about the 2-2 Chelsea game. What I find interesting was Arsenal legend Ian Wright saying he didn't want us to lose, that he likes the team and thinks that our team of the time was a good bunch of lads and that he felt (despite feeling he shouldn't) that he wanted us to go on and win.

Contrast that with "Spurs Legend" Lineker saying Hazards equaliser was his favorite goal of all time :banghead:

Amazing the shift in perception on these 2 players in recent years. Really like Wrighty these days. I saw a different side of him when that video of him game out with his old PE teacher, seems a real genuine bloke who just loves football.

To be fair to Lineker he’s always been a Leicester fan and that goal pretty much confirmed their title so hardly surprising he liked it so much.

We’re probably third on his list of favourite clubs behind Leicester & Barca (but ahead of Everton).

He’s normally a lot fairer with us than the vast majority of other pundits esp on BT sport for the Champs Lge games.

Agree on Ian Wright through, Ive warmed to him over the years and always gives a fair opinion that isn’t just churning out a boring sound bite.

Ian Wright was on desert island discs a few months back. Its a really enjoyable listen and he comes across as a very likeable man with an interesting back story. Worth listening to his episode on the DID podcast.

There's a lot more to him than people think, he's pretty bright and thoughtful when he's not bantering on tv with his mates (not that I mind that version of him either).

I wonder if we’ll actually get some praise on MOTD? it’s usually much more balanced than Sky.

Still don’t think we’ll be first on with United winning and Liverpool losing at home.

I think the Manchester derby was a fair choice for 1st game.

Liverpool's demise will be a big talking point. Our game might have been more eventful but there's more to say on Liverpool right now.
You say that, but Liverpool losing at home is becoming a regular occurrence ?

Watching MOTD and they're analysing Liverpool's lack of pressing and intensity and the comparison to us during Poch's latter years is seriously uncanny.
