Just reading the headline. He absolutely must be given time. None of this is his doing. Let's move on from all the 'Levy's to blame, or 'Poch is to blame', we are where we are and we have to move forward. Whoever took over from Poch was going to need a complete rebuild which requires time. We have one of the best managers in world football.

Completely agree, JM needs time to install his methods/tactics through time on the training field, and through additions/replacements to the team.

One thing to question though is if we’re looking at a rebuild, why wasn’t Poch afforded the same time/money? Rhetorical question at this point since it doesn’t matter now.

Perhaps there was a mutual feeling that Poch had reached his ceiling at that moment in time and needed to recharge his batteries.

Mourinho went on a riff about 8 transfer windows and how Klopp needed time. He then tried to ensure stories did not link that monologue to him being compared to Liverpool by riffing about teams being at the end of a cycle, in transition, and so forth. He's basically made the transition to Poch's position about the evolution of the squad in 6 weeks, from a prior position, and presumably his initial value statement, that we had a very talented squad that he felt privileged to lead.

I think the Kane injury is significant and may put him under enormous pressure. If we play pointless losing footy for a prolonged spell, like 10 weeks, he'll not look too good, and likely turn into third season Jose to exacerbate things.

On the flip side, he has an opportunity to show some tactical and motivational skill by deploying Son and some ballers to improve the dynamism of our attacking play. Our defencexwill continue to look mediocre unless the overall team dynamic is more purposeful and attacking.

Mourinho on why he must be given time at Spurs.

“My wife she’s like, don’t you lose your fucking job this time buddy. Sitting on the couch all day, I’m not having that again. You go to work and stay at work“.
