I love that our biggest issue is the intensity has dropped off significantly and we're linked to an old Matic. We even have fans giving up on Dier after his illness and he's much younger than Matic. We need someone around the age of Ndombele and Lo Celso.

Intensity has nothing to do with age, it’s down to mindset! Henderson and Milner make most 22year olds look lazy fucking millennials.

When your legs are gone they're gone though. It's obvious that Vertonghen and Alderweireld are struggling against the high intensity pressing that a lot of teams put us under now. The last thing we need is to add another ageing player in front of them. It's ok having experienced players like Henderson and Milner but you still need youth and energy at the core. Sissoko and Lamela are great workers too but we still struggle at right back and defensive midfield where we need energy and dynamism. I'm just not sure Matic is what we need in that position.

Yup, which is why it's so frustrating our levels have dropped off so dramatically. We have guys in our squad who were driven leaders on the pitch for a time.

Liverpool have maintained a ridiculous focus and intensity for ages now, while we clearly burned out mentally and physically from a similar set up. Fucking football.

100%. Our drop in intensity so clearly correlates with Dembele leaving us. Not only have points per game dropped significantly since he left but the intensity, press and overall performance has too. He was ageing but a real fighter on the ball, off the ball, legend! Obviously one of those rare players that makes everyone around them better.

I could see the opposite being true if we had won the CL, and Liverpool lost. That gave them the go to keep on fighting, and we dropped.
